Raila Tests Positive for COVID-19, Doctor Says He is Responding Well to Treatment
ODM party leader Raila Odinga has tested positive for COVID-19.
This was confirmed by his doctor David Oluoch-Olunya, who noted that he is responding positively to treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
“Following my letter of the 10th of March 2021 we have confirmed that Rt. Hon. Odinga has SARS-2 COVID 19. We are continuing to monitor his progress,” the consultant neurosurgeon said in a statement on Thursday.
Odinga was admitted to the facility on Tuesday after complaining of general fatigue and body aches.
His elder brother Oburu Odinga told Citizen Digital that he was not exhibiting any signs of a respiratory illness.
The Health Ministry has warned of a third COVID-19 wave after a spike in daily cases in the country. On Thursday, the ministry reported 829 new cases from a sample size of 6,239 tested in the last 24 hours.
The country’s caseload jumped to 111,185 while the death toll rose by one to 1,899.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said a total of 91 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with 22 being on ventilator support, 60 on supplemental oxygen while nine are on observation.
28 other patients are on supplementary oxygen, with 26 of them in the general wards and two in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

He is one selfish individual who does not see any value in any other human being but I wish him good health and recovery. One wonders what exactly a person of his age is running around campaigning for since BBI as far as I know is nothing but hot air and not worth the cost/time/emotional toll on the country. All the garbage ideas on BBI can be/should have been implemented long ago! Changing executive structure so as to reward warlords/tribal chiefs as solution to "inclusivity" is primitive and only exists in uhuru's/raila's heads a millionth of an oz in combination. Why does a president who is retiring changing the constitution/governance structure before leaving office and giving no window for test run? Simple- He and raila will argue only they can implement it "for there to be peace" and hence his shameless con job/betrayal of anyone who dare challenge his "muthamaki wisdom. What a shame?

It has not been easy for these politicians to come out and voluntarily tell the public what they are ailing from. Always their health issues are kept secret or we are told lies.
I wonder what happened with this case! Why haven’t we heard that the people who were with him tested for the same or quarantined?
Mmh the states provides him with private insurance n they have plenty of stollen monies so that monies can heal him.He can afford 24/7 care at any hospital in the world while the mkenya wakawaida cannot even afford aspirin so I personally don’t give a damm about this selfish/foolish/empty headed black politicians.
