A little-known Kisii-based school will have its entire Form Four class of 2020 join university after posting impressive results in the KCSE exam.
The results of the 2020 KCSE examination were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha on Monday.
All 268 candidates who sat for the national exam at Riokindo High School in Kisii County managed to attain the minimum university entry grade of C+.
The boy’s school posted a remarkable mean grade of 9.3333, with 17 candidates scoring A-, 99 with B+, 111 with B plain, 36 with B- while five got C+.
Nationally, a total of 143,140 students scored C+ and above in the 2020 KCSE exam.
Speaking while releasing the results at Mtihani House, CS Magoha assured all candidates that they will be absorbed into various tertiary institutions, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
“All candidates have a place in our education story,” said CS Magoha.

You know Kisii is Expert in Exam Cheating. Right?
nonsense
True. Almost all students in this school are getting either a B or a B+. The statistical distribution curve isn't 'normal' if exams are taken independently.
The score distribution in this school is normal. Teachers at this school did a lot of work to see the students through. The lack of "A" would convince anyone this was hard work on the part of students. They deserve all the accolades afforded to other top performing schools.
Perhaps we should be asking ourselves how we can be more supportive of the schools which are just as capable of excelling as other top schools.
Very sad what you wrote
Its unfortunate that this kind of success has to be greeted with suspicion. And rightly so given the nature, and history of cheating in exams that has pervaded our educational system for the last 10 years.

Aaaaaa! SIO SIRI. This is a red flag!!!. Something ain't right!!!. Urgent investigation needed!!!. Kisii's are well known for stealing KCSE exams and sharing it before National exam is conducted. It is a problem on for a long long time. Half of Kisii's so called graduates hold fake degrees from India
