Eight Killed After Nairobi-Bound Matatu Rams into a Lorry in Webuye

At least eight people have died and several others seriously injured in a grisly road accident along the Eldoret-Webuye highway.
The Sunday morning accident involved a 14-seater public service vehicle belonging to 2NK Sacco and a trailer.
Confirming the incident, Kakamega County Police Commander Hassan Barua said the matatu rammed into a stationary truck at the Musembe area.
Eight people including the driver of the matatu were killed on the spot while the survivors were rushed to Webuye sub-county Hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased were moved to the facility’s mortuary.
The matatu was heading to Nairobi from Bungoma when it hit the lorry from behind.

What was 2NK doing on that route? Stalled vehicle is (one of) greatest danger for good drivers.
