Drama as Senator Johnson Sakaja, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru Clash at a Nairobi Rally

There was drama at a ‘Kenya Kwanza’ alliance rally in Nairobi on Tuesday after two gubernatorial aspirants clashed.

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, who are both eying the Nairobi governor seat, exchanged words during the meeting held at the City Park.

It all started after Sakaja’s supporters reportedly booed Bishop Wanjiru, who is running for the Nairobi gubernatorial position on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket. Wanjiru accused Sakaja of inciting some of his supporters to heckle her.

“I deserve respect, we are both leaders here in Nairobi,” a visibly angry Wanjiru was quoted as saying during the meeting.

On his part, Sakaja pleaded with the crowd to give every candidate an opportunity to sell their agenda.

“Everyone has a right to be listened to, please let’s stop this,” Senator Sakaja said as quoted by Citizen Digital.

The leaders held the rally following the recent partnership between Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party, ANC of Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetang’ula-led Ford-Kenya.

Sakaja and Wanjiru are among leaders who have declared their intention to run for the Nairobi governor seat. Others are incumbent governor Anne Kananu, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi, Makadara MP George Aladwa, former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru, businesswoman Agnes Kagure, and Kenya Chamber of Commerce president Richard Ngatia.

According to @Kibe, Bishop is her first name.
Her pastoral duties kick when she is expecting the tithe. Unajua kuna kodoo wengi Kenya ambao hawatumii akili zao. Yet to hear what she did to him) wataruka tu.

I know non-Kikuyus will not understand why Shiru uses the title Bishop. In the intricate system of Kikuyu child naming, when a girl is born at exactly 12.01 on Sunday morning, she is named Bishop because it signifies one who is not the head of the church or head of any organization but has potential to soar high in a community leadership position. Men born at the same time are named Pastor such as Pastor Kanyari or Pastor Ng'ang'a.

If you review the video Sakaja was appealing the youth for calm, but the Bishop didn't see cause he was behind her. If she was carnivorous Sakaja would be mince meat right now, she was on fire like a decades old match stick!! lol

Nairobi does not need a governor MCA and all that BS all past governors have proved to be thugs.Just renew NMS contract while working on a plan B on how to manage the revenue collected from the city which is what they are all fighting for.Total embarrassment if things do not run well in the capital little chance they will in other “smaller” cities and towns

From pulpit to politics. I don't know if God called her into politics also. I guess being a job like most pastors now have a job and do minister so she can handle both. We need more ministers to push the devil out of Parliament
