Uhuru and Ruto Are Co-Presidents, Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe Claims
Jubilee Party Vice Chairperson David Murathe insists that President Kenyatta does not owe Deputy President William Ruto any political debt.
In an interview with KTN News, Murathe pointed out that Uhuru and Ruto have been serving as “co-presidents”, hence the claim that the former owes the latter support as part of their 2013 election pact does not hold water as each has served for 10 years.
“Yangu Kumi na ya Ruto Kumi has already happened. Uhuru has served 10 years as president, Ruto has served 10 years as co-president, you may call him a deputy president, but the Kenyan presidency is a pair,” Murathe said.
He added: “When Uhuru is away, Ruto is president, when Ruto is campaigning even today, he campaigns using government resources.”
Murathe, who is said to be a close ally of President Uhuru, said Ruto should stop accusing the president of duping him and focus on selling his presidential bid.
“When you are on a campaign platform, it’s like marrying a woman, you convince her of anything but when she comes in you live as it is. Uhuru has served 10 years, Ruto has served 10, unless they want Ruto to serve 20 years,” Murathe argued.
At the same time, Murathe defended Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s decision to drop his presidential bid to support ODM leader Raila Odinga, saying it was out of patriotism and not personal interest.
“Kalonzo came into Azimio La Umoja unconditionally, he did it for Kenya, not for himself,” said Murathe.

The cheif priest of corruption in Kenya the deputy president has wasted state resources by using state money to run around selling his wheel barrow party and bottoms up economic model which has never been taught in any economic theory.
Kenyans will be stupid to vote him in for another 10 years. Murathe is right Ruto's 10 years has already happened.
The problem with Ruto is failure to show shame on matters he knows he is telling lies. Ruto is a very dangerous man and everything that needs to be done must be done to keep him away from the presidency. Ruto lacks maturity, purpose and sense of direction kenya need to go.
