US Calls for Free, Fair and Peaceful Elections in Kenya

The United States says it does not have a preferred presidential candidate and will not take sides in the upcoming elections in Kenya.

The US, through her embassy in Nairobi, urged Kenya to ensure that the August 9th election is free, fair, and peaceful.

Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the US Embassy in Nairobi Eric W. Kneedler called for the preservation of democracy and inclusion during and after the electioneering period.

“As a long-standing friend of the Kenyan people, the United States is committed to walking with Kenya on its democratic journey.  The next phase of this journey begins with free, fair, and peaceful elections,” Kneedler stated.

“The United States does not have preferred candidates or take sides, but we do have an abiding interest in supporting the democratic process and the constitutional right of all eligible Kenyans to vote.”

Kneedler noted that regardless of who Kenyans elect, the US is committed to finding ways to deepen strategic partnership with the Kenyan people across the board, including economic relationship for the mutual benefit of both countries.

There are fears that distractions related to the August elections could compromise Kenya’s pivotal role as a regional peace broker.

Kenya, a strategic ally of the US in the Horn of Africa, has been a key player in brokering peace in Ethiopia, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Deputy President William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Odinga are the frontrunners in the race to succeed President Kenyatta, who has endorsed the latter.

Ruto, 55, is running on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket while Odinga, 77, is vying under the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party.

Omg 😲, this is laughable! Look who is advising Kenyans!, they cannot even agree who won last election to-date. Trump claims to be peoples president just like Jakom the kitendawili nyeff nyeff did..Not even the 2016 one!that of the Russian hoax..US has lost its credibility in the eyes of the world . The Capitol storming has not been solved yet and still being persecuted well into midterms when Biden is assured of losing both houses resoundingly.

No wonder we call peckerwoods wazungu. Their job ni kuzunguka zunguka meddling in other peoples' business. Like Kibaki would have said "bure kabisa, mavi ya kuku, waende huko wakure fombe".

Stop the madness you freaking fool @rotten to the core. Your mama will be burned too as your Ruto thugs burn the country down.

Ruto and the UDAku idiots are not bigger than kenya. Kenyans want a peaceful country and Ruto’s lose dies not amount into burning the country down a you wish to suggest. Stop the nonsense you stupid fool.

Ruto has started talking about rigging because he has sensed defeat and he wants to incite others to destroy the country because he knows he will not win and he is heading to The Hague for killing Kenyans. So don’t come here to tell your Ruto group will burn the country down. Shame on you.

Does kenya really need advise from eternal forces that can’t decide who won the last election? Huyu Mzungu is saying kenya has a fledgling democracy in demeaning undertone ways. It time for Kenyans to demonstrate maturity in voting to avoid being lectured by the west on democracy.

This cannot be taken seriously. Africa has never even had a president who tried to steal an election like the former dude.

The American 2020 Elections:

On January 6th 2021, a mob of 2000-2500 stormed capital building in Washington DC and sought to overturn Donald Trump's defeat in 2020 election.
" The capital building was locked down and law makers evacuated as rioters assaulted law enforcement officers, vandalized property and occupied the building for several hours.
Five people died either shortly before, during or following the event. One was short by capital police, another died of drug overdose, and three died from natural causes.
Many people were injured, including 138 police officers. Four officers who responded to the attack died by suicide within seven months"

We're these "Free, fair and peaceful elections"?
And is this the model you want us to use?
