Court Orders Moi’s Grandson to Pay Sh1.5 Million Annually in Child Support to Former Wife

A Nakuru court has ordered Collins Kibet Moi, the eldest grandson of the late former President Daniel Arap Moi, to pay Sh1.5 million annually (Sh125,000 per month) to support his two children with former wife Gladys Jeruto Tagi.

Principal Magistrate Benjamin Limo ruled that Jeruto proved that Kibet has neglected the two children aged 11 and nine for more than 10 years, according to Nation. Kibet was ordered to full responsibility for the minor’s education and medical expenses via a health cover, and share their entertainment costs with Jeruto.

Jeruto, who unsuccessfully contested for the Koibatek Ward Representative seat in 2017, sued Kibet in 2021 seeking Sh1 million per month to cater for food, rent, education, entertainment, and maintenance for her kids.

She wanted the court to compel her former husband to pay Sh200,000 per term for the children’s education, Sh200,000 for their annual medical cover, Sh100,000 monthly entertainment costs, Sh100,000 for food, Sh150,000 for upkeep, Sh100,000 for clothing, Sh100,000 for rent, and Sh50,000 for house help.

Jeruto told the court that Kibet had refused to take responsibility for the two minors despite being a man of means. She claimed that Kibet abandoned her children in 2012, leaving the responsibility of caring for them to her alone.

The court heard that Kibet and Jeruto got married in 2008 and had two children together before divorcing four years later in 2012. Court-sanctioned DNA tests revealed that he was the biological father of the two children.

Kibet had earlier told the court that he is jobless and does not have a source of income, adding that he depends on friends and relatives for survival after his businesses collapsed and he was evicted from his rented apartment.

He indicated that he can only cater for the children’s annual National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) fees and wanted them transferred to JK Primary School, a public institution in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County.

But Jeruto’s attorneys informed the court that Kibet, the son of the late Jonathan Toroitich, Moi’s eldest son, was battling in court for a share of his father’s multi-million-shilling estate and that of his grandfather worth over Sh340 billion.

“Having evaluated the evidence on record, the exhibits and submissions of parties together with authorities, I find the plaintiff to have proven her case on a balance of probabilities,” ruled magistrate Limo.

You have really been hooked up on this phonics Bro. Surely you do wish you had never set your sight on her. She just retired out of your sweat! Wow, I do feel for you because this will now force you to sober up.

This is the reason why Uhuru was talking about single families led by money hungry women. These women prefer to pester men to death so they can leave home and give women the chance to get paid while screwing other men. Also the use of sex toys by women have replaced men in homes.

The Kenyan men have been pushed to such a terrible corner to a point they can’t breath anymore. Eventually they just decide to leave families behind and stress turns them into depressed drunkards. Things will certainly continue to get worse.

Hahahah, @ Weru, lucky you are not a male praying mantis.Otherwise you would go to death in a pretty savagery manner...
Anyway, men may have outlived their usefulness to women when it comes to reproduction.Do you know scientists can now make artificial sperms using skin cells? May be women will go for designer men.Men who are passive, but do the heavy lifting for them. What say you?

You can rise above this shit Collins. Dust yourself and try to live a normal life again so you can also enjoy life to the fullest.

You can’t let a woman determine your future. It’s all in your hands.
