No-nonsense Karua Will Send All Corrupt Leaders to Jail, President Uhuru Says
President Kenyatta has heaped praise on Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential running mate Martha Karua, describing her as an astute and firm leader.
Kenyatta said unlike himself who has been lenient to rogue officials, Karua will ensure that all corrupt leaders are sent to jail should the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition under Raila Odinga form the next government.
“Martha is a lady who doesn’t joke, and I am very sure she will not give all these corrupt leaders and looters a chance. They will be languishing in the cells, she is not like me who forgave them, Karua cannot forgive them," he said.
“Am happy that Odinga has joined hands with a woman who doesn’t joke and who will not wait to hear the looters do their things here and there.”
While drumming up support for the coalition in Kasarani, Nairobi on Tuesday, Kenyatta said Odinga and Karua are the only leaders who will carry on with development projects initiated by his administration and slay the corruption dragon.
“These are the people who will ensure continuity of this work and we ensure that we have a country that will be led in justice and truth,” he added.
At the same time, Kenyatta urged Kenyans to critically scrutinize those seeking leadership positions in the forthcoming elections to ensure the country gets progressive leaders to steer the nation to new heights of prosperity. He cautioned Kenyans not to be deceived into electing selfish and power-hungry politicians.
“Do not be lured by sweet-talking politicians who seek leadership for self-gain but have no commitment to public good. Sometimes I am shocked by what some leaders say in public forums,” he stated.
“When they see good roads they stand and say, ‘you can see what our government has done’, but when things are not good, they point at others saying the Government has failed. Now I wonder how many governments do we have?”

Again let me highlight the hypocrisy with Uhuru. Karua did not happen today. And that she is in Azimio. For the last ten years when Uhuru had his government she has been in the cold. If she’s indeed of no nonsense as Uhuru says then why won’t he have nominated her into his government since 2013. Why is it that important now?

While Uhuru is cheeky on Karua’s stand as he he described, very much is left on the speed at which Uhuru and his inner surrogates are such a rush to fraudulently acquire vast last of the ports and the Kenyatta university land.
