Ruto Rejects Raila's Call for a Handshake After August 9th Elections

Deputy President William Ruto has responded to Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s pledge to have a handshake with his opponents after the August 9th general elections.

Speaking during his final campaign rally at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi on Saturday, Odinga assured Kenyans that he will continue with the handshake doctrine for the sake of Kenya whether he wins or loses the upcoming election.

“I shook the hand of Mzee Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi in March 2002, of President Kibaki in February 2008 and of my brother President Uhuru Kenyatta in March 2018. I want to assure Kenyans that I will continue with this HANDSHAKE DOCTRINE, the doctrine of unclenching the fist. For the sake of Kenya,” said Raila.

“For the sake of Kenya, I will shake the hand of my rivals and pay the political price if I have to. I will shake their hand if I win. And I will shake their hand if I don’t. And I will do it because I love Kenya more than I love Raila Amolo Odinga.”

In a rejoinder, Ruto said he is ready to hold talks with Odinga after the elections but only to discuss the role he will play as he serves in the opposition.

Ruto, who is eyeing the presidency on a UDA party ticket, maintained that he will not entertain the kind of handshake Odinga had with President Kenyatta in 2018.

"My brother, I am ready to have a cup of tea with you after the August elections and agree on the role you will play. But I am not ready for the kind of arrangement you had with Uhuru five years ago that disrupted our government," Ruto said at Nyayo Stadium where he held his last rally.

“I want to commit that I love this country so much that I will not participate in something that undermines the constitution of Kenya. I will not participate in anything that brings confusion between separation of power and accountability of the government.”

    Samoei:

Msimamo wangu haubadiliki hata kidogo juu yenu wawili. Yeyote atakayechaguliwa juma lijalo, ajue ya kwamba, mimi sitamtambua kama rais wa nchi ya Kenya.

Ruto thinks he is bigger than Kenya. He is a bitter man despite his many imperfections. What makes him bitter when Musando, Kenei, Kiambaa victims, Yebei and baby Pendo are 6 feet under?
After 9th August, he will crawl, hop, for that handshake, apende asipende.

    Raila is now becoming obnoxious.

If William Ruto loses he should go home. Mudavadi should go home too.

And Kalonzo should follow them, he’s another useless fellow.

Ruto would not accept a handshake because his goal is to have Kenya go up in flames to give him the opportunity to steal mashamba ya wengine. A commotion would also give Ruto the chance to burn more children in the Eldoret Church next to Kiambaa Church where he burned kikuyu women and toddlers to death. Ruto pushed the children back into the burning church as they tried to escape as they called upon the Lord to save them.

The Nandi elders said ruto has been a thief since childhood, and they ostracized him from the Nandi Community because they have list hope on Ruto.

Raika will offer a handshake to those who care about Kenya. All Ruto cares about ni wizi.

Ruto has already lost the election. His sicking attitude about unity of Kenyans says everything about the corrupt ways ruto has carried himself in his long and tedious political life of corruption.

Ruto will not make it to the opposition because very soon ICC will issue a warrant of arrest on Ruto due to the crimes against humanity case pending at the Hague.

Ruto please do not worry about having a cup of tea with Baba the 5th President of Kenya because you will be in jail at the Hague.

Ruto is a war monger. The hsitory of handshake dates back to around independence time in our history. It was used as a medium of reconciliation. Since Ruto doesn't want it, he is ready for war. Let's not forget that Ruto says one thing today the next time he says the opposite.
