President Uhuru Declares Three Days of National Mourning in Honor Of Queen Elizabeth

President Kenyatta has declared three days of national mourning to commemorate the life and times of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Thursday.

The outgoing president directed all Kenyan State agencies and foreign missions to ensure that all Kenyan flags within their premises are flown at half-mast during the mourning period which ends at sunset on Monday.

"The Flag of the Republic of Kenya shall be flown at half-mast at State House and all Kenyan Diplomatic Missions, Public Buildings and Public Grounds, all Military Bases, Posts and Stations, on all Naval Vessels of the Republic of Kenya, and however elsewhere throughout the Republic of Kenya," said Kenyatta.

"Our national flag shall be flown at half-mast for the same length of time at all High Commissions, Embassies, Consulates, Diplomatic Offices and other facilities of the Republic of Kenya abroad.”

Queen Elizabeth II, who was the world’s longest-serving monarch, died at her Scottish home aged 96.

Kenyatta eulogized the Queen as gallant leader who will go down in history as one of the most dedicated members of the Royal Family.

"Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to His Majesty King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family. Rarely has one person so epitomized the very best of humanity and leadership through selfless public service as the Late Queen Elizabeth II did in her 70 years at the helm of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, and in her life of 96 years," Uhuru said in a message of condolence.

Buckingham Palace said King Charles III will be officially proclaimed monarch on Saturday morning at a meeting of the Accession Council.

Why should we mourn the imperialists who enslaved our ancestors and stole from us, continues to steal from us through supporting propped up dictatorships that serve their masters! Reparation!!!

Uhuru, stop your annoyance tendencies you have been used to for the last 5 years. Go home in peace and get forgotten. Both my grandfathers were incarcerated at Manyani prison(possibly todays Shimo La Tewa prison) somewhere at the coast. While my maternal grandfather got a few acres after, my paternal grandfather died a pauper, with excruciating pain of beatings and mistreatment burning all over him. Yet for Mzee kenyatta, it was a walk in park. Yes, about 40000 hectares at Taita Taveta, Kamakis, Rongai, Bahati etc. Queen Elizabeth caused so much pain to natives across the world, including Africans, Red Indians of North and South America. And she died an excruciating pain, just like my beloveth grandpa. Grand you won't attend her burial as a head of state. Utaenda kama raia

For Kenyans, it's time to remember and celebrate our fallen heros ( MauMau); our ancestors who fearlessly fought for our Independence from our colonizers who were under Queen Elizabeth's rule. We must ask ourselves who took our Independence, our land and worked very hard to destroy our culture.
Where were our forefathers in 1952 when she was being crowned queen. ( Where was our Independence, where was our land; where were our holy shrines)
They were in the forest fighting the colonizers( The Queen Elizabeth 's regime). We must start telling the truth about our history and our history is not the colonizers history.
We must find ourselves as the era of those who killed, maimed, castrated and did all manner of evil to our ancestors comes to an end.
Kenyans must not be on a Super Highway of mourning as high jacked colonial subjects.
Are we to stand with our colonizers or are we to stand with our forefathers.

That wench shouldn't even be buried. Her body should be donated to the hyenas around Manyani prison or the Aberdares Forest so that her soul if she has any can comingle with the thousands she castrated and killed.
