Pakistan Prime Minister Phones President Ruto over the Murder of Journalist Arshad Sharif

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday phoned President Ruto over the killing of renowned Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif by Kenyan police officers.
Through Twitter, Shehbaz said he asked the Kenyan president to ensure a fair and transparent investigation into the Sunday night shooting in Magadi, Kajiado County.
"Just had a telephonic call with Kenyan President William Ruto about the tragic death of Arshad Sharif in Kenya. I requested him to ensure fair & transparent investigation into shocking incident.”
“He promised all-out help including fast-tracking the process of return of the body to Pakistan," Shebaz tweeted.
The National Police Service (NPS) said Sharif was killed by a barrage of bullets fired by General Service Unit (GSU) police personnel from Magadi Training School. Police claim the two ignored a roadblock of small stones, forcing the officers to open fire.
The slain journalist was being driven to Nairobi by his brother Khurram Ahmed when they were signaled to stop by police officers at a roadblock in Magadi, Kajiado County before they opened fire at their vehicle, according to a report filed at Magadi police station.
"Before they reached the Kiserian-Magadi road, they found the road blocked using small stones and they decided to pass them. It was then they heard gunshots toward their vehicle directed from the front and rear. They did not stop and proceeded with the journey," reads the report in part.
Following the gunshots, Khurran phoned a Pakistani friend who resides in the area and he advised them to pass by his home.
"On arrival at the main gate, found his brother had died with a gunshot wound on the head which had penetrated from the back of his head and exited at the front side of his head," police said.
Reports indicate Sharif was in Kenya to work on a corruption case titled 'Behind Closed Doors' for people in high places and those who enable it.

This is crazy! So many questions running through my mind.
1. Why was there a road block in the first place? 2. Why use small stones instead of professional roadblock stuff designated for such, how would they have known whether the road was blocked by thieves or GSU for that matter:
3. Why shoot to kill? Why not use professional tactics to shoot the vehicles tires/deflate and stop the vehicle?

Which transparent investigation they blew through or should I say failed to stop and the police require their cut to survive.Maybe the police figured they could not out run them or their car was low on fuel so they went for the next best option. However why did they not call police after they were attacked unless they knew these were the police and decided to just drive off underestimated the brutality of the Kenyan police force you pay or you die 'hakuna kunego'

"...a road block of small stones..."! How is one supposed to know the stones blocking the road is a police check point? Bandits on Kenyan roads use stones all the time!
Can't the police and the interior ministry invest in effective and easily identifiable check point equipment that we will all know is a police check point? It is 2022, you can have those industrial area plastic companies fabricate some luminous checkpoints! Put away the stones!
