COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has urged President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga to meet and discuss issues of importance to the state.

He said the bipartisan committee is of no importance and that the solution depends on the head of state meeting Azimio boss Raila Odinga. While speaking on Thursday in a clip shared by Citizen TV, the COTU boss justified his standing by saying that the bipartisan committee is made up of 'small people'

"That committee is of no importance. It is up to Raila Amolo Odinga, and William Samoei Ruto to meet and get a solution".

Atwoli expressed confidence that the discussion between Raila and Ruto would be fruitful and added that the solution doesn't need to be a handshake. He lauded his call for talks between the duo, saying that it would benefit the entire East African region. He mentioned that the discussions should delve into how the country can progress forward, as well as ways to restore economic stability and preserve the value of the Kenyan shilling.

According to Atwoli, East Africa depends on the Kenyan economy, and the path that the country takes would largely determine the economic development of the EA region. Atwoli said the country could not heal if the two political sides fail to reconcile.

"There is no escape route. There is no way the opposition will heal on its own or the government heal on its own. There is no way the other factions like workers, religion will heal if we cannot come together," he said.

Mr Atwoli added that reconciliation between Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance will bolster Kenya's economy. His remarks come a day after Azimio suspended the Bipartisan talks. According to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, their counterparts failed to concede to their demands including lowering the cost of Unga, preservation of the Election Servers and suspension of IEBC reconstitution.

For what! You are a sellout. Go to Ruto and raise dubious taxations on employees. No one trusts you anymore.

Atwoli is an ape I am surprised he is not in a forest in the trees.
