Canadian Doctors Partner With Kenyan Institutions to Promote Health Services

A group of medical doctors from the Kibos International Health Foundation based in Canada will be visiting Kenya in early September to establish partnerships aimed at promoting health services.
The team plans to collaborate with local institutions to address the challenges facing the health sector in the country. Already partnering with Trans Nzoia's county government, the foundation strives to enhance its delivery of health services. The 15 specialists are expected to arrive in Kenya on September 11, according to invitation letters from Moi University and Kisii University. The team will focus on exchanging ideas on advancing medical care and knowledge.
Harnessing productive teamwork between Canada and Kenya is the primary goal for the enhancement of medical care in the fields of Medical Oncology, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Cancer-incorporating Surgical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology. The specialists from the Kibos Foundation possess a vast knowledge of this area and have steadfast aspirations for augmenting medical knowledge and provision. While in Kenya, their team will furnish free advice and consultations to medical professionals and patients.
They will be accessible at both Kisii and Moi Universities and Trans Nzoia County, offering a unique opportunity for partnership exploration and knowledge sharing. Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya believes that the collaboration in mentorship, research, medical equipment, and appropriate funding will help alleviate and cure cardiovascular illnesses that affect the populous of the county.
