Raila to Borrow Tanzania President John Magufuli's Leadership Style

National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga has revealed that he will borrow Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli’s style of leadership, where there will be zero tolerance to corruption.

Ever since taking the instruments of power, the Tanzania head of state has cracked the whip on corrupt government officials, sacking senior government officers over connection to graft.

Raila vowed that when he takes over power, he will break corrupt cartels that surround President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy President William Ruto, warning Jubilee prepare for a battle similar to that between a baboon and a dog. “We will sack all the corrupt individuals in Jubilee government that have sunk this economy to its lowest ebb,” he said.

The former Prime Minister accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of protecting corrupt individuals in his government against prosecution, adding that corruption has doubled under Uhuru’s watch.

Speaking during a campaign trail in Siaya County on Monday, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders asked NASA supporters to turn out in large numbers as it was the only way they will be able to send the corrupt Jubilee regime home and usher in a new Country under his leadership.

Amani National Coalition (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi called on those who abandoned NASA to contest as independents to shelve their ambitions and lower themselves, just as he and other principals did and left the presidency for Raila. ‘If I decided to shelve my presidential ambitions, including Kalonzo Musyoka, to support Raila, why not you” Mudavadi asked.

Communist Raila Odinga's truth color is finally coming out. Who want Tanzania's leadership style. Tanzania is a basket case with it's GNP less than that of the city of Nairobi due to it's history of following wrong ideology. Socialism and communism are in ash heap of history and Raila Odinga too will be in it.

Fighting corruption does not equal communism, Unga is expensive both in nyanza and central. When they still tax money, they dont only still tax money from Nyanza. I can only naively hope Raila means what he says and not just to garner votes. Corruption is more dangerous than tribalism in my opinion. Let's not be blinded by tribal politics where only politicians from our tribes can have good ideas and others can only have bad ideas and intentions.

You are wrong on # 5. Both have had extra-marital affairs with women - not men!

Anybody who believes this conman should know who Jimi Wanjigi is. Raila is in fact inheriting the so called Jubilee corruption cartels that used to be around Uhuru and Ruto in the name of one Jimi Wanjigi. How do you break the cartels and you are already eating from their hands?

Kenya constitution is quite different from that Tanzania. Seems like Raila does not understand that. President has limited powers in Kenya. Talk is cheap.

If Raila had this leadership style , he would be more awake many years ago. Magufuli just happen the other day. So did Raila have "Magufuli" in him before? Zilch. Why now ?Why didn't he show some iota of the same when he was serving on somewhat equal shared government of year 2007 - 2013. Zilch, Nothing! I would suggest for anyone to be a leader from their own self. Or rather we can have Magufuli instead of voting in someone who doesn't do own homework but relies on history of friends and events. Why one want to be Magufuli if one want to do better?

Right here is the problem with Raila. Why would a man considered to have a leadership halo over his head imitate a man 15 years his junior. Shouldn't be the other way round? Lack of vision or confidence?

Ben, if a 15 year old came up with ideas that adults did not think of, hey,it would be fool hardy not to apply them. The point being that RAILA has been in politics for over 50years,and his ideas should align with the young generation if they have to be relevant, and if they come from a young person, so be it. Thanks to "education" today's youth can cut that learning curve into halves...France just elected a 39 year old man.

Maxiley, you rightly point out that Raila has been in politics over 50 years... but there is a LOT he still needs to learn. Unfortunately, he has not exhibited any abilities to learn new ideas. I would highly commend and applaud him if he did but I am not holding my breath. Are you?
