Presidential Candidate Ekuru Aukot Concedes Defeat, Asks Raila to Follow Suit

Thirdway Presidential candidate Dr. Ekuru Aukot has conceded defeat. Speaking during a press briefing at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi, Aukot said he was satisfied with the way the election was conducted and has seen nothing that can warrant disputing the presidential outcome.

"Kenya needs to move on and continue with their daily struggles. It is evident that IEBC put enough measures to ensure the electoral process was smooth," he said.

"Our party has made peace with the system and we respect the final outcome. From our party, this election is considered over. Let us celebrate our diversity as a people. We will continue to advise the IEBC in the quest to conduct truly free and fair elections."

"I wish all the candidates the best and let us meet in 2022. Dear Kenyans, now that the elections are over.It is time for us to go back to doing what we do best, build Kenya."

"No material perused can change the provisional result," he said

Aukot further called on National Super Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga to honorably accept defeat.

He revealed he will still contest for the Presidency in the 2022 general elections.
