Kenyan Father of Three Flees after Wife Gives Birth to Triplets

A Kenyan father of three has reportedly gone missing after his wife gave birth to triplets.

Nurses say the man, identified as Johniso Ichariat, arrived at the hospital eager to meet his newborn baby, but his attitude changed after realising he is a father of three more kids.

One of the medics at Avi-Matercare Hospital in Isiolo town says it took them more than 10 minutes to convince the 40-year-old to hold his newborn babies. He sat in a corner staring at the little ones with fear written all over his face.

His wife, Elizabeth Kadogo, 38, says Ichariat left the Hospital without uttering any word and has not been traced since then.

“In our community, only cases of twins being born to one mum have been heard, but not three babies at the same time. My mother-in-law was therefore surprised when she learnt I gave birth to three kids,” Kadogo, who is facing difficulties raising the new infants without her husband says.

The couple has three more kids aged 18, 16 and 6 years. Kadogo gave birth to twins during her first delivery but sadly one of them passed away.

In due time my religion SCIENCE/education, will dispel all these remnants of counterproductive traditions. What would the husband have done if the wife had given birth to septuplets?
If he us running from responsibility, that's another matter that the courts can deal with. But retrogressive practives/mores,only education will enlighten...Thanks to SCIENCE,all human beings are equal.

Line them up @Koge. What's going on,are we having more triplets than ever before, or has reporting gotten better?.
Goverment needs to open a department for helping these helpless women left by husbands. These kids will need more than a one time donation ,unless its in millions.
