Kenyan Woman, Lorraine Kerubo Ogoti, 30, Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Toronto, Canada

A Kenyan woman was found dead in her Toronto, Canada apartment on Tuesday afternoon in what police describe as a possible murder-suicide.

After receiving a 911 call to her apartment building on Tuesday around 2:15pm , police and paramedics found 30-year-old Lorraine Kerubo Ogoti suffering life-threatening stab wounds inside her 8th floor apartment, located at Birchmount Rd and St Clair Ave. She died at the scene a short while later.

The body of a 40-year-old man, identified as Mowlid Hassan and who police say stabbed Lorraine, was found on the ground outside the apartment building. An autopsy revealed he died of blunt-force trauma. It was later revealed that he died after jumping off the balcony of Lorraine’s  8th floor apartment.

Police say they are still investigating the incidents, and do not believe anyone else was involved.

Lorraine moved to Canada from Kenya and lived with friends, her family says.

@ Sukuma, its horrible the way she died.Even if she were 99 years old.Death does not discriminate by age.Its the senseless killing by another human being that I bore whether one month,or 1200months.
RIP.

I knew both of them and use to party with them, it was not her apartment but a friends. They were over a lot to party and he use to beat her. We stopped him a few times but its just sad. I Live in the next building and was so shocked when i found out. I didnt believe it till i stepped out and saw the police and his body covered in a tarp. She was a kind woman, very very sad. Would never have predicated such a horrible fate for a kind person. My condolences to her family and loved ones. Really doesn't make a difference if he knew or not. It had to take the late's filing a complaint for anything to happen. The fact is, it is very sad that in this day and age some weak ass MF boys masquerading as men still lay a finger on women. Pathetic!

Surely!... May she rest in peace and my condolences to the family of the young girl who had traveled all the way to lock for green pastures.
