Kenyan Woman who Went Missing Two Months Ago in Germany Found Dead in Forest
A Kenyan-born woman who went missing in Germany about two months ago has been found dead.
The decomposing body of 32-year-old Rita Awour Ojunge was reportedly found by officers from the South Brandenburg Police Department.
A Germany newspaper reported that officers found her remains in a neighboring forest area after weeks of search.
On Tuesday, June 25th, the press office of the South Brandenburg Police Department said DNA analysis confirmed the body was that of Ms. Ojunge.
Police did not give further information on the circumstances surrounding her death.
Ms. Ojunge was last seen on April 5th this year after she dropped her two kids at a neighbor's home.
The neighbor told police that Ms. Rita had been dropping her children at her house every time she needed to go out.
"It was a normal occurrence when she needed to run errands," the neighbor said.
Awuor was living in Germany with her husband and children.
