#WajingaNyinyi: Governor Waiguru Abandons Plan to Sue Singer King Kaka for Defamation

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru says she will not be taking any legal action against Kenyan rapper Kennedy Ombima, alias King Kaka, for defaming her in his ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ viral song.

Governor Waiguru said she abandoned her plan to sue King Kaka for defamation after realizing that the singer was desperate for attention and was being used to settle political scores. She cited Kaka’s fake death threats and summon by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

“Having watched the antics of kingkaka in the last couple of days with reports of fake assassination attempts and DCI summons, I recognize that he’s confused, attention-seeking young man. I have therefore made the decision not to proceed with the Kingkaka suit,” Waiguru wrote on her Facebook and Twitter pages.

“It is unfortunate when talented youth are taken advantage of by some politicians and used to settle political scores. As I have chosen on previous occasions of this nature, I will contend with their masters,” added Waiguru.

In a demand letter on Monday, Waiguru threatened to sue King Kaka if he failed to pull down the song and issue an apology within 48 hours. In the lyrics, King Kaka mentioned that Waiguru was still free despite her involvement in the NYS scandal, where a pen was allegedly procured for Sh8,000.

“Ati Waiguru ako kwa office na story ya NYS tulishasahau, Biro moja alibuy 8 thao, biro tunanunuanga mbao Either sisi ndio wajinga ama ako na marking scheme ya Accau…” sings Kaka.

Top lawyers including Ahmednasir Abdullahi, Nelson Havi, Martha Karua and Ekuru Aukot had vowed to defend Kaka if he was taken to court over the song.

And Waiguru knows "akijifanya hapo ata lost. Na hata (yeye) Chuma hu-rust." Kwa hivyo David vs. the Goliath(s) spewed Tano!!!!!✋

Let us all analyze what Waiguru is saying about King Kaka - that he is confused and seeking attention? Kaka’s lyrics clearly spells out that Waiguru stole NYS money to enrich herself - is there any doubt or confusion showing who is the thief? She says Kaka is seeking attention - ok - and who is seeking attention issuing fake threats to cover up her corruption and in an attempt to silence Kaka for speaking the truth? Waiguru is very confused as she attempts to hide her misdeeds from those she hosed out billions of shillings! The public knows who is confused and seeking attention in a panic mode! And it is not King Kaka!

Boy! I listened to the lyrics and it evoked all sorts of emotions in me. This generation has been duped and the singer is right, right right! He is a talented guy, proud, intelligent and owns his background. Son of Wanjiku, lone mother. She ought to stand proud... Her son is ….no words.

In her capacity Waiguru does not have to react to everything and anything. Unless you are guilty somethings you let go especially from a youngster who is just expressing his frustrations. Very telling..
