I Cleared DJ Evolve’s Sh17 Million Medical Bill, MP Babu Owino Says
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has spoken out following the release of Felix Orinda, alias DJ Evolve, from the hospital.
DJ Evolve, who had been bedridden at the Nairobi Hospital for six months after he was allegedly shot on the neck by MP Babu, was discharged on Thursday having undergone multiple surgeries.
He was admitted to the facility following the shooting incident that happened at B-Club in Nairobi’s Kilimani area on January 17th.
Kenyans on social media bashed Owino after a video showing a frail-looking and unstable Orinda being discharged from the hospital emerged with many wondering whether Owino settled the entertainer’s huge hospital bill.
But in an interview with Tuko News, Owino said Orinda was allowed to go home after he cleared his medical fee amounting to Sh17 million.
“I sorted his bill of Sh17 million and that is why the hospital allowed him to be discharged, he won’t have been discharged without the bill being sorted,” he said, adding that his condition has improved.
“I have heard people raise concerns about the condition of the patient and I want to tell you DJ Evolve was discharged by doctors on account that his condition had improved and could be managed from home.”
