Government Reveals Plan to Help Kenyans Secure Jobs Abroad

Kenya is eying bilateral labor deals with foreign countries in a move aimed at addressing the country’s unemployment crisis.

Such agreements will make it easier for Kenyans to migrate, live and work abroad, according to Labor Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui. He added that Kenyans can get opportunities in countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Australia.

The government through the National Employment Authority (NEA) is in the process of finalizing labor pacts with some Middle East nations.

"Through the National Employment Authority (NEA), we are also in the process of concluding bilateral labor agreements with Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and Kuwait and skilled labor for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said Chelugui as quoted by Daily Nation.

CS Chelugui indicated that Kenya’s economy cannot be able to absorb the over 400,000 youth who join the labor market annually.

The Middle East has become a top destination for Kenyan semi and low-skilled workers with most getting recruited in the hospitality, construction, security, transport, cleaning, and domestic services.

Chelugui urged NEA to explore more ways of ensuring that skilled workers and professionals also access the numerous employment opportunities abroad and to broaden the scope of destination countries.

@Cheluhui is plainly telling a lie! Why has he not gone to the Middle East to get a job there? Middle East is nothing more than slave trade labor and you are likely to be killed if you resisted! Many women who went to work in the Arab countries have come back home dead!

Other countries, mostly the developed countries are facing a high level of unemployment due to COVID 19. These countries will not here a foreigner before its citizens have found a job!

For the bilateral jobs in the Middle East, yes, you can get those casual laborer jobs but be prepared to come back home in a body bag dead! You will become a slave of the Arabs and if you try to escape, you will be killed; literally!

So, the CS is openly lying to gullible youth who would wish to venture out and get a job in the Arab countries. Do not be deceived by a low level CS who cares less about your plight once you arrive in the Middle East!

Chelugui - you ought to be ashamed of your self lying to the youth about jobs in foreign countries! You need to retract this job advert because you do not know what you are saying while deeply inebriated with toxic substance crack cocaine maybe!!??

You can not even help those trying to escape slavery and abuse in the Middle East and China and you got the guts to advise the youth to get themselves into the slaughter houses of foreign countries in the name of bilateral jobs??

Come on man! Have you decency and shame? Youthful Kenyans, go to those bilateral jobs at your own risk of getting killed! We have had many young Kenyans killed abroad! I recently paid a lot of money to evacuate a young Kenyan enslaved in Saudi Arabia while the government could not step up the plate and help!

The CS chelugui knows that he is misleading you and your families that you will get a job overseas! Yes you may get a job but the likely hood of return to Kenya alive is below zero. Do not be suckered by a mad CS chelugui! He is telling you a pure lie - maybe he is now involved in slave trading of youthful Kenyans! Beware folks; beware because what glitters is not always good!!

This real black nigger is setting you up for the biggest failure in your life with dangerous jobs abroad! There are no jobs in foreign countries any more as covid19 have ravaged employment across the world!

CS Chelugui is lying to young Kenyans and he does not care what happens to you once you depart to whatever foreign country he is sending you! Kenya is not capable to negotiate humane working conditions for any Kenyan youth while working abroad! And may God help you if you land into the Middle East where the rule of law is non existent!

Please remember once you leave Kenya you may come back home in a coffin, and especially if you are to travel to the middle eastern countries!

If you are stupid enough to travel abroad for a job just because CS chelugui told you there are bilateral jobs in whatever country, the CS is setting you for abuse and possible death within a short time! Don’t be greedy to lose your life!

Chelugui don’t care whether you live or die! He just wants to show Uhuru he is doing something to solve the unsolvable problem! He can send all his children there and then we will follow suit! He is just running his big mouth!

Ciro (not verified)     Mon, 09/14/2020 @ 11:35am

@chelugui - tell Kenyan youth to stop bearing children they can not cater for once they are born! We have adress the issue of birth control head on; it is the reason you are looking for bilateral jobs abroad while you know those jobs do not exist!

Also, tell all the politicians to behave in the same manner and stop sleeping with youthful university girls without practicing safe sex - wear the rubber to prevent the unwanted pregnancies. We know you do it too!

The problem in Kenya is the simple fact that all of you jump in the sack and make women pregnant without taking into consideration how that extra child will be provided for! You men just want to just deep without wearing that protective socks and when the child is conceived you turn your black ass away and run.

Kenya needs to find a way to control the birth rate to reduce the number of mouths to be fed! There are too many mouths to feed with a very shaky service oriented economy.

Why not build some manufacturing plants and food processing industries and employ all those young people you are trying to bilaterally find jobs for in other countries!?

If every county would build a food processing industry, young people will start moving upcountry to look for jobs and that would reduce the rural to urban migration which is making Nairobi and other big towns unliveable!

Population control is the only way Kenya will improve the quality of life by having quality jobs available to a controlled population.

To President Uhuru, please give me CS Chelugui’s job and I will fix the youth unemployment problem in Kenyan in the next five years while being paid 1/2 what you are paying CS Chelugui! He is out of touch with the 2030 development plan! His education shows how poorly educated most CSs in Kenya are!

He is advocating in draining our available labor from Kenya to other countries but we need that labor in Kenya to develop our country! Just fire the guy and employ me for half the CS’s pay!

Right on @ciro! Uhuru should make you the CS for population control and put you in charge of all the fornicating men!

Each family shouldn't have more than two children! Sex before marriage you can make that illegal! Any man who sires a kid out of the wedlock should be jailed for at least 10 years of hard labor! And all lose women should be sent to Sahara desert to make new Nike River tributaries. The rest of women should convert to nuns!

Isn't this like asking the head fox in chief to assume responsibility for chicken coop security?

Abroad?? Kenya has failed to create jobs for her people. Now they want to send Kenyans to jobs created by other people. Instead of creating jobs in Kenya. That's GoK admitting it has failed in job creation. Create jobs in Kenya, damn it!! Ama jobs are being created using BBI??

Wololo maskini! Yaani it has become that bad these CS uncle Tom sellouts are willing to pull such a move on unsuspecting Kenyans. As someone said, hii ni ungwana? Chelugupgup alilala throughout history class and has not been reading the news.

Please jameni, tell your relas how bad these warabus are. Our ancestors spirits and remains are scattered all over the kingdom of saud. It is a curse for any african to go there. From the salman killer to the pedos that treat mboches like animals, wote ni wabaya.

Kumbuka how they cut up that journalist who dared to say a word against the shameless crown prince. Why do you think Osama ran away from that clan to live in Sudan and Afghan once he realized the swamp he was living in. Mafuta inaisha anyway and in 10 years once Elon Musk Electra cars are everywhere, it will go back to the dusty desert it always was. Those lands are cursed. Please musiende huko.

All continents have a few bafrika remaining hata bahindi lakini hawa waliua wafrika wote. Dont send the youth there. Its a 1 way ticket to death or misery!! I didnt think Id live to see the day people are being fooled into going to slave lands by fellow Africans. Does he own shares in these slave cartels or was he bribed by them? I thought they get paid a lot to avoid this kind of thing. This is just senseless. Shenzi kabisa!

First, Kenya government need to check unemployment figures in those countries.
Stop bringing in so called " experts" into the country and let Kenyans build their own country. Stop importing dead people's clothes (Covid-19)- Mitumba and allow our cotton industries to grow. Stop teaching our kids in foreign languages, will have our own experts. Stop importing unnecessary food items, our farms will thrive.
Create government policies that will protect our people now and in the future. Current, Kenya government policies is what has given jobs that belong to our youth to foreigners. Our government need to change course.
Time for slavery for our people is over. 400 years of slavery in those countries mentioned is over. Our government need to discern the times. Its time for revelation and restoration!!

Chelugui this Idiot ,imbecile has no clue on how progressive foreign countries recruit workers in terms of education and work experience. jordan a very poor country which live on begging bowl from USA, Polaks do the low jobs in europe, arab countries the workers they need are labourers which they enslave. Those who seek jobs abroad do it by themselves and when they cry of help if things don't turn well . Kenya government hands are tied. drop dead Chelugui stop lying and if it is true send your family members leave Kenyans to carry their burden as they have ever done
