Thirdway Alliance Picks Miguna Miguna as its Flagbearer in the Nairobi Gubernatorial By-Election

Thirdway Alliance Party has settled on Miguna Miguna as its candidate in the Nairobi gubernatorial by-election scheduled for February 18th.

In a statement on Monday, the party said the Kenyan-Canadian lawyer’s candidature is a “chance to correct one of the greatest political mistakes of our generation.”

“…Nairobi deserves leadership devoid of ineptitude, unbridled, lust and gluttony for public resources which has defined it for the last eight years,” the party’s National Chairperson Miruru Waweru said in a statement to newsrooms.

He added: “As is his trademark, Dr. Miguna’s candidature is not separate from the virtues that he has fought for and which remain the defining hallmark of his public and private life.”

“It is time to drain this swamp of bad leadership and dismantle this rogue cartel hemorrhaging Nairobi.”

The party presented a power of attorney authorization to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to act on Miguna’s behalf.

“We expect all relevant agencies to take note of the High Court rulings and judgments regarding the citizenship of Miguna and act within the law,” Thirdway Alliance added.

Miguna, who was deported to Canada in 2018, declared his interest in the Nairobi Governor’s seat which fell vacant following the impeachment of Mike Sonko earlier this month.

The High Court of Kenya should also declare that its Judgements are applicable outside Kenya, and override International Laws. Miguna knows all these things. He is just playing games with Kenyans. For what purpose, I don't know.

If the system will let you run, I beg you to listen to the voice of reason. Miguna, you luck wisdom this I can tell you. You have to align your politicos with the like of Rutto and Sonko for you to gain traction. Nothing has changed since you left. Poverty is rife as the government is pushing BBI. I can guarantee you that another thug will take over Nairobi and life goes on!

I tend to think Kenyans admire drama queens like Miguna Miguna! You will be very surprised to see Nairobi county voters electing Miguna well know he has nothing to offer them! I’m never surprised by the Kenyan voters!

Miguna Miguna is the wrong guy for Nairobi county governor! These parties are led by brainless characters. What does Miguna know about leadership! Electing Miguna will lead into the death of Nairobi County? The guy does not have the leadership qualities necessary to propel a huge metropolitan city like Nairobi!

Miruru Waweru is certainly on some kind of highly toxic drug to think Miguna possesses the ability and leadership prowess to lead Nairobi!

Miguna will be nothing short of the bad leadership Sonko provided! Miguna will only be interested in stealing like his luo counter part, Kidero! One can tell how insecure Miguna is just by listening to him talking trash about others.

Nairobians need to object to all the useless candidates being fronted and find a good level headed person to manage the affairs of Nairobi county!

The people of Nairobi should vote for MM since it’s not gonna make a difference with any other greedy politician. Whoever is voted in will steal as long as they are Kenyan. The voters should just close their eyes or throw a dice. The outcome will be the same. Corruption and nothing less.

@Miguna Miguna! You got a big mouth! You talk too much! You don’t have what it takes to lead! Sorry they don’t want you as the Nairobi county governor!
