Foreigner Linked to Murder of Kenyan Lawyer Elizabeth Koki Wanted in South Africa

Christian Kadima Mwambay, the foreigner arrested in Nairobi over the gruesome murder of a female Kenyan lawyer, is wanted in South Africa.
He is accused of killing lawyer Elizabeth Koki Musyoki, a mother of two, in her house in Syokimau, Machakos County, where the two lived together for a year.
Police said he was spotted leaving the victim’s house on Thursday evening before her lifeless body was found in her bedroom on Friday morning by her house help.
Koki, the founder of Koki & Associates—a human resource law consultancy firm—was found lying lifeless on the bed with bloody bruises on her body.
Kadima was nabbed in his hideout at a Nairobi lodging having tried to outsmart detectives by driving his getaway car to Riruta to create a false impression of his whereabouts.
It emerged that Kadima, who holds a Nigerian passport, is wanted in South Africa over accusations of battery.
Machakos County police commander Charles Mutua said police are liaising with the Immigration Department to determine the suspect’s nationality.
“What we know is that he came to Kenya from South Africa and we are yet to determine which nationality he is, but from what we have gathered is that he is Congolese,” said Mutua.
South African publication Sandton Chronicle reported that Kadima is accused of assaulting one Miranda Jacobs in 2017.
Taking to Instagram after learning about Koki’s death, Ms. Jacobs said she warned Kenyan women about Kadima.
“I spoke to a few women on IG. They said he’d also assaulted them… I tried my best to reach out to the Kenyan police. I couldn’t, I feel terrible about this. I’m so sorry Elizabeth Koki may your soul RIP. Condolences to the family and friends,” she wrote.
In South Africa, he identified himself as Euloge Christian Kadima and he skipped bail and fled to Kenya after which a warrant of arrest was issued against him.
“Anyone with information about Kadima’s whereabouts is urged to contact the investigating officer, Constable Mpho Martin Monyamane or the Sandton Police Station,” South Africa police said.
