Two Police Officers Hospitalized After Attack by a Lone Assailant in Nairobi CDB

Police in Nairobi are searching for a suspect who attacked and injured two police officers in the central business district (CBD) while on patrol.
The two officers were in the company of three others near Afya Centre on Wednesday when the lone assailant attacked one of them with an unknown weapon, cutting him on his left arm.
He then turned to the second officer who was trying to save his colleague, leaving him with cuts on the neck, according to a police report of the incident.
"The assailant fled immediately after attack,” a police officer who visited the crime scene said as quoted by Nation.
The two officers were rushed to a nearby pharmacy for first aid before being transferred to Nairobi West Hospital where they are presently receiving treatment.
Police said the victims did not lose their firearms during the attack.
