Raila: The Truth About August 9th Election will Come Out Soon

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has reiterated his commitment to fighting for Kenya’s socio-political liberation, vowing to drop a bombshell that will impact the country’s politics.

Odinga, who lost a presidential bid for the fifth time in this year’s elections, insisted he does not recognize the current administration headed by President Ruto, adding that the truth of what happened in the August 9th elections will be unearthed soon.

"The truth will come out and they will regret it. For now, I will not speak, but what I am assuring you is that there is no going back", he said.

He added: "We know what happened. Even those propagating that I did not get votes from the Mt Kenya region. Those people voted for us and I know it. I know the work that was done there. They stood with us."

The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party leader also castigated President Ruto for luring some opposition leaders to join the government in order to have development projects in their regions.

"We cannot be threatened to join the government, which government?" he questioned. "If you are leading a county government. You are in government, which one again do they want you to get into?"

He was speaking during the burial of Mzee Nyangaga Akoth, a member of the Luo Council of Elders, in Seme, Kisumu County on Saturday.

Raila, let all your funeral talks be about funeral. No more politics.
Raila needs to come face to face with Miguna Miguna and give his blessings of future leadership to Miguna.
Raila, you are too old for a repeat of 1982...and " Handshake" is a foregone conclusion!!

Elections are over. Who is lying to this Mzee that Mt. Kenya gave him enough votes to make him win? It seems there is change of mind by these losers to plan and either undermine or cause trouble in WSR government. And Uhuru Kenyatta is in it.
Why complain of WSR government then if you already have governments in the county. Concentrate in creation of jobs and other money making incentives in these counties and stop sitting and waiting for the central government to provide everything.
There will not be a nusu mkate this time.
One president at a time whether or not you have almost have of voters. Otherwise Kenya may emerge with counties being Countries.

The elections are over Raila. Prepare for 2027. This is not the first time you're talking about bombshells since the 90s.
The only way is you overthrowing the government, which you failed in the 80s.
I understand that some Kenyans forget way too fast, but there are issues that are still fresh in Kenyan minds.
I understand that you have all the money in the world, the only missing piece is POWER. But, from what I had stated way before the elections, we're back to the old cold war, Kenya will never be ruled by a Russian pawn.

Old man Raila is on the brink of becoming irrelevant and he knows it, and he is doing, saying anything to prevent that. But the horse has bolted and he should instead be collecting the pieces and walking off to the sunset to enjoy a well earned retirement.

Raila has a right to speak his mind. I don’t think he needs any one’s advice. If he has evidence of what happened, we would want to let Kenyans hear it. We don’t want to repeat the same mistakes over and over. We are mature enough to listen to anyone’s opinions. That’s democracy.
