Dennis Itumbi, Comedian Churchill, and Singer Akothee Land Gov’t Jobs
Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, comedian Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki, singer Akothee and TikTok star Azziad Nasenya are among celebrities who have landed jobs in the latest government appointments.
In a gazette notice on Friday, Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba appointed Itumbi a member of the newly-established Talanta Hela Council for a period of three years.
Itumbi was appointed to the Talanta Hela Council alongside Kizito Wangalwa, David Langat, Debra Mallowah, Abraham Kipyego Mutai, Charles Gacheru, Claudia Naisabwa Leshomoo, Nobert Ouma, and June Chepkemei.
CS Namwamba also established the Creatives Technical Committee and appointed comedian Churchill as its Chair for a period of three years.
Members to the committee include Akinyi Odongo, Jimmi Gathu, Catherine Kamau, Esther ‘Akothee’ Akoth, Kizito Makhande, Azziad Nasenya, Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, Awadhi Salim Awadhi, Douglas Kipkirui, and Langat Susan Ekasiba.
To rejuvenate the sports sector, the cabinet secretary also established the Sports Technical Committee, which will be chaired by sports journalist Carol Radull.
Its members are Boniface Ambani, Julius Kiplagat Yego, Neddy Kutsuru, Alfred Makotsi, Sammy Tiyoi Shollei, Collins Kale, Kevin Mutai, Shilovelo Winna Shilavula, Daniel Nakeor Losiru, and Staicy Shariffa Ochieng.

Imagine working so hard to qualify for a slot in Kenya's cross country team. You qualify,and send to the training camp for amonth. A week left for the departure you are told that, there has been a VISA hitch and that cannot trave and present your country.This happened to at least 2 athletes who were supposed to represent Kenya at the world champioships in Oragon,USA last Year.Some of you will remember that our sprinter sensation barely made it to Oragon.
It has happened again folks. 4 members of the cross country team with not travel to Australia for the World corss country championships being help in Australia this coming weekend.They dont have VISA...
