President William Ruto's international trips have been defended by Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura, who asserts that they have brought numerous benefits to the country.
These recent travels have underscored Kenya's focus on building international relations as a means to boost economic growth and global influence. The Spokesman says that such visits have enabled the nation to welcome more than 30 heads of state and forge important agreements that strengthen its reputation as a diplomatic leader. Impressively, according to Mwaura, these trips have resulted in 350,000 job openings for Kenyans in Saudi Arabia.
During talks with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, deals worth $5 billion (Sh450 billion) were secured for investments in Kenya. Other notable accomplishments include opening the Kenyan embassy in Senegal, ratifying the East Africa One Area Network for Mobile Telephony with President Paul Kagame, and establishing the Kenya-Djibouti Business Council. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have also been executed with Congo President Denis Sassou Ngweso in multiple areas - such as energy, transport, agriculture, security, education, culture, tourism, trade and investment.
Enhancing connectivity and bolstering economic opportunities, Kenya Airways has resumed flights to Brazzaville after an agreement was signed to facilitate business operations with Kenya. In light of all these, the Chinese Embassy has cancelled visa appointments for Kenyan visitors. China has also established a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kenya that aims at boosting investments in the country's renewable energy sector; adopting innovation strategies and facilitating cost-effectiveness.
To counter criticism about his continuous foreign business trips, Kenyan Head of State Dr Ruto defended his actions in October, labelling them as a necessary component to lead his nation. Reports highlight that Mr Ruto has flagged off 83 foreign days, visiting a record number of 45 different cities during these days. Former President Uhuru Kenyatta visited a total of 53 countries during his time in office, while Deputy President Ruto recently completed his 39th trip abroad.
Among the nations Ruto has visited are the United Kingdom, France, Mozambique, Egypt, Eritrea, Rwanda, South Korea, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda.

@ Mlandizi,My question to Ruto would be, why dont you create, double or the same jobs opportunities in Kenya?Have the Arabs send petrodollars for Job creation purposes. What are we actually lacking ?Brains? Manpower? funds?...
Dr. Ruto, next time you sit with your Arab friends drinking tea, before going in private rooms for whisky, and massages, please just give them a little reminder about reparations for free labor they got from enslaving, and mistreatment of africans. It's never too late to right a historical wrong.
Ruto’s lies make my head in bristly inebriated without taking a drop of liquor. I have never ever come across a man who tells shameless lies like Ruto. If this is what a man who claims to a Christian do, wow, wow - now I don’t know who to believe!
Just look at the man (Mwaura) repeating Ruto’s lies and then ask yourself where Kenya is heading to with these crooks in the office. The level of telling Kenyans lies is seriously quite amazing at best.
The Ruto ratings do not matter any more because he has already stuffed the 2027 ballot boxes with fake votes to win the 2nd term of in office. Raila will be rigged in a broad day light and the ret will be history to be written the the hustlers. Do you see Ruto bothered by the bad ratings?? He just wants to keep the fake talks between Kalonzo and Ishugua going on to waste time and hoodwink Kenyans that domething is being done.
We do not need the president to go and beg these slave traders to employ then maim torture and even murder young Kenyans who choose to earn a living rather than steal .What glory is there in exporting your “people”/ voters to be abused then pretending you gave them opportunity. What opportunity when some die and their families cannot even afford to bring them back to get a decent funeral .
Stop with the lies Saudi and the whole Middle East should be avoided like the plaque they are a cursed lot .
I remember Raila and his allies claiming that Uhuru wouldn't be allowed to visit any western countries.then they complained he travelled too much. They the praised him for being very popular around the world.
I remember before the elections Ruto visiting the US and we were told he did not get to any government officials or building. Were told if he is elected, he wouldn't be allowed to visit the White House.
When Raila went there just before elections, we were told he was received by many government officials.
Are we going full circle?
The art of political conmanship in Kenya never ceases to amaze me! It is the same story told by different players. The end result is that Kenyans continue to suffer to no end while those telling the weird stories benefit the most. The lies will continue to get bigger as we go along!
Funny, Mwaura's face doesn't resemble the back end of a bull but in what I must conclude is a miracle, the same stuff is coming out.
Mwaura is nothing short of a conman! He is not even ashamed using his sickening pale face to emphasize on Ruto lies. Hawa Waru ni warogi!
Hey Mr Pres provide accommodations to folks in Canada. It's sad they visited without hosts and now live on streets in tents. Buy them an apt complex or something
Very well put! Why send more Kenyans abroad to suffer like the ones on the streets of Canada! Does Ruto really read international news?
Ruto knows that he has the lowest approval ratings of any president in the modern history of Kenya and I can understand using occasional PR stunts to influence the gullible. My question is; why does his administration always have to tell bold face lies? 350,000 jobs created in Saudi Arabia? C'mon now, I seriously doubt there are that many Kenyans in that country or might be Isaac Mwaura has a learning disability in mathematics and probably meant 35 jobs.
