Dr Betrice's story is a testament to the human ability to overcome adversity and emerge stronger.

Born into poverty and orphaned while still a teenager, Beatrice faced unimaginable hardship trying to fend for her younger siblings. The weight of responsibility and the crushing blow of loss led her down a dark path of depression and suicidal thoughts. After her mother's burial, she felt dejected and hatched a plan to end her life. However, a neighbour intercepted her plan when she was on the verge of taking an assortment of pills. This served as a wake-up call, propelling her towards self-discovery and healing.

Through faith, she confronted her inner demons and found the courage to hope for better days. After completing her nursing education in Kenya, Dr Beatrice saw an opportunity to advance her career while contributing to a cause close to her heart. She secured a position working with the University of Maryland on HIV programs. This experience provided valuable experience and served as a stepping stone towards her ultimate goal of relocating to the United States.

However, her path was not without obstacles. Bureaucratic hurdles caused a significant delay, forcing her to wait four years for her immigration paperwork to be processed. Her persistence ultimately paid off when she received the long-awaited notification to appear at the American Consulate. Beatrice's experience in the US has not been without its challenges. She recalls facing discrimination and societal stigma due to her background and appearance. Yet, she emerged from these experiences as a passionate advocate for inclusivity and acceptance. She emphasizes the importance of treating everyone with dignity and compassion regardless of their circumstances.

With the support of her husband, Dr Beatrice found solace and strength. Through forgiveness and a newfound sense of purpose, she embarked on a mission to help others facing mental health issues. Today, she inspires countless individuals struggling with depression and despair. Armed with her own experiences and a fervent dedication to advocacy, she strives to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and provide support to those in need.

Beatrice says that the turning point in her life was her decision to pursue higher education in the United States. Despite facing significant financial limitations, she remained resolute in her commitment to academic excellence. Through her dedication, she ultimately obtained a PhD in counselling.

Today, Dr Beatrice's impact resonates deeply as she serves as a counsellor, educator, and advocate. Through these roles, she continues to make a profound difference in the lives of countless individuals.

@Mwakilishi, you're now beginning to sound like a relic of an old worn out record. People struggling to achieve a desired dream is the nature of human life so there is nothing extraordinary about what Dr. Beatrice's achievements. Remember, even Ruto struggled at first to hone his skills in lying as an street evangelist to be where he is today as Africa's biggest liar.

Maybe Beatrice needs to begin with Ruto to save the gullible hustlers from Ruto’s pesa mufukoni lies. He is now telling the hustlers to hit the key board and money will start falling from heavens into their pockets. Beatrice, please counsel Ruto first while holding a life chicken in his face to save our country from descending into a state of anarchy.

@agirltoto - sure, worship Beatrice at the expense of getting doped up with life altering maddening drugs worse than cocain and opium mixed together to keep you hooked up to her shoddy clinic. That is how these witch doctors called psychiatrists enrich themselves while destroying others. The first thing this nurse will advise you to do is to start taking mind altering drugs which you will get addicted to and you will never be yourself again.

@ A GIRL TOTO, at times I wonder who is the target audience in Mwakilishi's news reports and I doubt whether it is the Kenyan diaspora community, be they in the Arab world or the West. This newspaper is beginning to report some real petty news that makes me think we are under the Corvid lockdown again because with most people being indoors, there is not much journalists can report.

Yaaa right! Beware folks of those who want to get rich at the expense of your mental health! Do you know how many psycho therapists have become dollar billions pushing crazy drugs to the general populace? Do not be caught in the trap of mental nonsense!

Is it a doctorate or PhD. What is your dissertation topic. Kenyans are well educated and talk very little about their education. Research and you will be surprised.

Some of these counselors sound like busket cases of evil witch doctor stories. The lady fails to understand the simple fact that wherever there is life, death is also eminent. Her life sounds like a condiment of dooms day events wrapped up in the Haitian voodoo crap.

Ok Kiama, why not return to Kenya to counsel all those Changaa drunkards to sober up and become productive citizens? Them fools have gone through the insecure life you have lived in your past. Well, charity begins at home lady!

The spoilt brat does not even know how poverty smells like. He just talks too much nonsensical crap without using his 1/2 brain..
