After completing her nursing education in Kenya, Dr Beatrice saw an opportunity to advance her career while contributing to a cause close to her heart. She secured a position working with the University of Maryland on HIV programs. This experience provided valuable experience and served as a stepping stone towards her ultimate goal of relocating to the United States.

However, her path was not without obstacles. Bureaucratic hurdles caused a significant delay, forcing her to wait four years for her immigration paperwork to be processed. Her persistence ultimately paid off when she received the long-awaited notification to appear at the American Consulate. Beatrice's experience in the US has not been without its challenges. She recalls facing discrimination and societal stigma due to her background and appearance. Yet, she emerged from these experiences as a passionate advocate for inclusivity and acceptance. She emphasizes the importance of treating everyone with dignity and compassion regardless of their circumstances.

With the support of her husband, Dr Beatrice found solace and strength. Through forgiveness and a newfound sense of purpose, she embarked on a mission to help others facing mental health issues. Today, she inspires countless individuals struggling with depression and despair. Armed with her own experiences and a fervent dedication to advocacy, she strives to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and provide support to those in need.
