Lavington Church Cancels Rachel Ruto's Fundraiser Following Social Media Backlash

Lavington United Church has cancelled its highly anticipated fundraiser set to feature Kenya's First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto as the chief guest.

The decision comes in response to significant public outcry and pressure on the church leadership. Originally scheduled for June 30, 2024, the event aimed to raise funds to complete the church's sanctuary. The controversy arose when the invitation card for the fundraiser was made public, sparking outrage among Kenyans who were still grappling with the recent deaths of protestors during demonstrations against the Finance Bill. These protests escalated into violence resulting in an unconfirmed number of fatalities.

“The pastoral team and church leadership cordially invite you to a fundraising event to complete our sanctuary on June 30, 2024, from 10 am at Lavington United Church. The Chief Guest will be Her Excellency Mrs Rachel Ruto, the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya. Your presence and generous contribution will be highly appreciated.” the invitation read.

The invitation, signed by Reverend Simon Mutahi, featured Her Excellency Mrs Rachel Ruto as the Chief Guest. This detail drew criticism from those who felt the church should not involve politicians perceived as unsupportive during the protests. The backlash has gained momentum online leading to the circulation of Rev Mutahi's contact information. Among those who have reached out is Mwabili Mwagodi, a youth who claims to have initiated the campaign to keep politicians out of church pulpits.

Mwagodi had stated their intention to attend the fundraiser presumably in protest. Faced with mounting pressure and concerns, Rev. Mutahi has made the difficult decision to cancel the event with the church leadership issuing a notice informing members that the fundraiser would no longer take place.

Comrades,
Who erected her in office?
One billion shillings in an exciting office?
Tuliroga na nani, na kabwele alikufa?
No more first lady.
No more first daughters .
Ni more first son's.
As Kenyans, we are tired of all these BSN

Iam with you here @ Kora kanini. These are some of he traditions I complain about ,that we ape blindly. Trust me, if Mzungu extends the labels, we shall start to having;
First grand Pa
First grand Ma
First uncle
Fist aunt
First mpango wa kando
First punda...on and on . We dont have them because Mzungu does not recognize them as such yet.
Not to mention, these title carry a handsome basketful of goodies,at tax payers expense whole dolling our basketful of deplorable to tax payers.

Church is part of the problem. They get half of the looted money. They are going to Statehouse to get the brown envelop. Gen Z said they are next on the list.

I feel very sorry for Samoei Cherop Ruto. Why? This man achieved the highest degree that institutions of higher learning can offer to a smart student. Yet, he (Samoei) lacks "Critical Thinking Skills" in his daily life.

He belongs to a religion that is a direct product of the Jewish Culture. How come he cannot use his "Critical Thinking Skills" and stop proselytizing his Jewish religion to other people who abandoned this religion soon after Kenya achieved her independence in 1963? Why does he still identify himself with a slave-colonial name?
Anyone whose ancestry is not related to the Arab or Jewish culture has no business being a follower of the two Middle Eastern Religions that sold the COHO people into slavery. What is COHO? It is an acronym which stands for "Continent Of Human Origins."

We need to dismantle the type of education that we offer in COHO institutions of learning because it is totally irrelevant to the challenges that we face in our daily lives and does not focus on teaching our children "Critical Thinking Skills."
Places of worship are dwindling in Europe while in COHO, they are mushrooming practically everywhere. Many followers of the Middle Eastern religions in COHO have no clue that, It was Pope Nicholas the Fifth of the Catholic Church who passed the Papal Bull on June 18, 1452 authorizing the sale of COHO people into slavery. Later, Pope Alexander the 6th passed another Papal Bull authorizing Spain and Portugal capture the lands West of Europe and take the lands belonging to the Indigenous People and convert the indigenous people to be followers of the Jewish-based religion. This Papal Bull was passed on May 4, 1493.
When Critical Thinking Skills are put into use, no COHO citizen including those in diaspora can logically be a member of these two Middle Eastern Religions that promoted human slavery among indigenous people in COHO or elsewhere.
The time has come when we need to transform buildings set aside for the worshipping of slave-based gods and convert them into technological learning institutions.

Rachel Ruto is a major threat to the well-being and the humble co-existence of a normal Kenyan society. He feigned theatrics leaves a lot to be undesired!
