Sharon, also known as Nahsha, is a Kenyan/American artist based in Los Angeles. For the past few months, Sharon had found renewed happiness while on her visit to Kenya. Sharon is an energetic bundle of joy, enthusiastic, and free spirited. Her passion for music and spontaneous nature has had an immense impact on us.
Unfortunately, on July 10th, Sharon was violently attacked and has since been under critical care in an ICU in Kenya. With the evolving medical situation, it is in her best interest to facilitate her airlifting for life saving treatment here in the US.
Her family has been provided with two quotes for the medical air lifting costs, $175,000 from Kenya to New York and $300,000 from Kenya to San Francisco (which is her hometown) in addition to the increasing medical bills she is currently incurring.
The financial burden to airlift her from Nairobi to San Francisco or even to New York and ensure continued critical care is proving too heavy for her family to bear by themselves. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist in this effort (https://gofund.me/3b262d0c).
As her friends and family, we are grateful for the uplifting support shown to Sharon and her family. In this incredibly difficult time, Sharon is in need of our prayers, well wishes and financial support to help offset the mounting medical charges. It is our humble appeal that you consider donating to Sharon’s recovery efforts.
Thank you for the time you took to read Sharon’s story and your generosity.

All other races commit vicious crimes against their own - never the less, that doesn't take away their rights to fight for justice (and that too applies to blacks). I wish this lady all the best.
NKT! BLM is for police brutality sio ivo unafikiria
so sad but what can i say? its just an evil world, no matter your hide out, just like shadow, evil follow us. its up to us to change this!
So sad, but I hope whoever wrote this has done the due diligence. She has one name and a nick-name, In an nameless ICU in Kenya, no relative in US/Kenya identified, no way of following up after a donation, evacuate from ICU to where? Understand Kenya is not US, but evacuating from Kenya ICU to 20 hours airborne.
Am with you hear....I need more info...more background... Why the anonymity? Why the third person reporting? My sixth sense is not getting a clear line...sorry
She will be airlifted...they need a doctor, nurse, ICU bed on board I guess thats why its expensive
Let's all support her please. You matter. Whether you give $7 or $70,000 or more our people.
Tupendane.
N if u do, please be invested in our people's health in Kenya ultimately.
Hata ukipeana whatever, we have all this need watu wetu.
Mboona unaweza peana but you ur not willing to give ur voice to political change in hospitalization and mama mboga in your little way? You matter, you see.
I'm urging you all to give all you can for one of our own here. Don't assume somebody else will. Please give.
You matter.
More information please
I agree with comments above. This story sounds like bullsh•t to con people. DO NOT GIVE a penny. @John Wetu, it seems you are pushing so hard for people to fall to your trap IDIOT!
Hey I just wanted to kindly say go fuck yourself because this story is directly affecting my friends family, and Sharon is one of the kindest people I’ve met. So don’t donate, but don’t discourage others from not.
I sense your anger and frustration @Max but telling people to go have relations with themselves doesn't help donate a single dollar. Explain who she is, how she affects those around her, how she and her mom affect the community around Mountain View and Sunnyvale positively and thank them in advance for any amount they can spare. $500k is a lot and every dollar counts. Mūbatari ndaconokaga more importantly he doesn't throw insults at those who can help.
lol Nakupenda bure
The story is not BS, it's not well presented but it's real.
Haiya Max huyo unaambia aende ajifire ndio umataka tena atoe pesa? Haiyaye! Yaani Nyani haoni kindule
What happened? What’s her last name? Add more color.
Is US the best option? There are good hospitals all over.
I feel you my brother but she is real despite the paucity of information. Her name is Sharon Wachuka, her mother Veronica Mukui. Here are a few links beginning with the gofundmepage I found

Someone asked why a hospital in the US and not in Kenya, I would guess she is probably still under her mother's insurance and probably has no coverage under NHIF and despite the abuse I'll take from some quarters, medical care is better in the US.
And for those hurling abuse at those asking for more information, two things to remember, transparency works better than obfuscation and secondly honey works better than vinegar
This is a sincere plea for help. I personally know Sharon and have watched her grow up. She is passionate about her music career and is inspiring to be pursuing it with such determination. She has the brightest smile, is outgoing and can connect and engage with anyone. Please don’t discourage people from contributing to help get Sharon back to her home. I assure you this is real, we are stunned that this could happen. We are praying hard for her recovery.
The incident is under investigation, it was a violent attack and the lack of details maybe to protect Sharon. Her family needs to focus on Sharon’s recovery.
Please help where you can.
I’m Canadian and I don’t know her personally, but Nahsha (Sharon) is known to my children who are same age as her through social media. They confirmed that this is a true story, and they were shocked when they heard about the incident.
I frequently visit Kenya and I want to say that Kenya can sometimes be unsafe, especially if the locals know you’re visiting from abroad. In terms of medical, hospital care is not the best and good care in private hospitals can be extremely expensive, especially if you don’t have medical insurance. Out of goodwill, Please be kind and donate, and remember, this can happen to anyone.
Why can’t the family or friends (whoever is helping her) contact the department of homeland security? Kenyans are so quick in asking other Kenyans for contributions instead of utilizing the system that is available for its citizens.
Some people in the diaspora have a whole family in the US yet they keep on living like beggars.
There is a disease in the diaspora for people that keep on asking for money as if other Diaspora's have no need in their families.
@sue... What is the department of Homeland Security supposed to do in this case? Shed some light, you might help the next person that finds themselves in a similar situation.
thanks
It is unfortunate that something like this can happen at home . We shout "black lives matter" directed to non blacks who are against us but this hideous act was among your own. incomprehensible
