Canada to Process Study Permit Applications for Nigerians within 20 Days

Canada has reportedly launched a new pilot program whose aim is to speed up the study permit application process for students from Nigeria.

Dubbed the Nigeria Student Express (NSE) pilot, the program targets Nigerians who have been accepted to post-secondary institutions in Canada, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said through Twitter.

Under the program, Nigerians who have been accepted to a post-graduate diploma course, bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program will have their study applications processed within 20 days.

“Nigeria Student Express is a pilot initiative at our Visa Office (VO) in Lagos aimed at improving processing times for study permit applicants in Nigeria who are planning to study at the university level in Canada,” IRCC wrote.

“It was introduced to prospective students and their parents at EduCanada fairs in Abuja and Lagos in January 2020.”

Canada has recorded a tremendous increase in the number of Nigerian immigrants in the past few years. Nigerian was in position four among new permanent residents in Canada last year.

11,985 Nigerians received study permits from Canada in 2019, making it the ninth highest source for international students.

Canada is a wannabe country and it tries so hard to be like USA. The problem is that in its pursuit of this aspiration it has lost direction. The Canadian authorities do not know what they are getting themselves into. They don't seem to know the evilness of Nigerians. Opening their country's borders to Nigerians is almost like opening its to Coronavirus. Nigerians are evil people. They are wired to commit to crimes. Canada should learn a lesson from Trump administration and ban them from entering their country instead

@nuel - how did the coronavirus come into play in what the guy above said about the Nigerians and their thieving?

He spoke the truth about your appetite to crimes and conning-manship by most of your fellow country men, and now your women have joined in!

Nigerians have spoiled the good name of Africans all over the world. Africans used to have an admirable name but now folks run away at the presence of an African as they confuse Nigerians with other Africans.

No one should trust any kind of Nigerian; maybe except Chinua Achembe, but he is now dead!

If You are hurt by the truth, you can ask your country men/women to clean up their moral acts and act like other normal human beings.

Stop conning people all over the world! Canada will come to regret inviting droves of Nigerians into that beautiful country😅😢 because you will certainly mess it up! Maybe Canada need to be advised by the US to cut the nonsense of getting criminal Nigerians to the west. US is now doing its part to clean up Nigerians!
