US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) plans to re-open its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASCs) to the public on June 4th, 2020.
The offices have been closed to the public since March 18th due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
USCIS says even though the offices are closed to the public, mission-essential services that do not require face-to-face contact with the public still continue. USCIS also continues to provide limited emergency in-person services.
USCIS field offices sent notices to applicants who had upcoming appointments such as green card interviews and oath ceremonies, informing them that the appointments had been canceled and will be rescheduled once the offices open again to the public.
