Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament (MP), Kalembe Ndile, was on Saturday morning injured after he was involved in a road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
Athi River traffic base said that the crash occurred at Devki area involving a Subaru Forester that Mr Ndile was driving and a Mercedes Benz whose owner was identified as Nicodemus.
Ndile was headed to Mombasa when his car collided head on with the Mercedes Benz which was heading in the opposite direction.
The former MP sustained a fracture on the right leg and left hand and was rushed to Shalom Community Hospital where he was admitted.
Reports indicate that Ndile lost control of his vehicle which veered off towards the opposite lane during the Saturday 3 am crash.
Ndile unsuccessfully contested for the Mavoko parliamentary seat under a Jubilee party ticket in the August 8th election.
