ODM Leaders Hit Back at Wetang'ula Over Attacks on Raila

Leaders from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) have hit back at Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula over his attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
On Tuesday, Wetang'ula accused Raila of being a party wrecker and a traitor, adding that he orchestrated his removal as Senate Minority leader in March.
"It is clear from history that Raila has been killing political parties. We worked with him in KANU he rocked it just like he did to National Rainbow Coalition. We worked with him in the Coalition of Reforms and Democracy and he literally killed it," Wetang'ula said.
On his ouster from Senate Minority seat, by ODM senators, Wetang'ula noted: “Raila planned and executed it. I can tell you for a fact. The majority party within NASA is ODM. Nothing happens without his approval. He runs ODM as a gespato."
Speaking during a press briefing on Wednesday, ODM chairman John Mbadi, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and his Ugunja counterpart Opiyo Wandayi asked Wetang'ula to stop blaming Raila for his woes.
“Wetangula had no track record of change. We gave him the responsibility of leading 28 senators and he failed. Anger will not take him far,” said Mbadi.
“He is taking too long to heal; he needs to accept that he is no longer a Minority Leader in the Senate. Throwing tantrums like a primary school kid will not help him.”
The Suba South MP further said Wetang'ula was a coward for skipping the controversial ‘swearing-in' of Odinga as people's president on January 30th.
“Wetangula is not a friend one needs, he is the least man to talk about betrayal. He lacks political clout to be consulted on national issues,” added Mbadi.
