Deputy President William Ruto Makes Peace with Former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto

Deputy President William Ruto and former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto have put their differences aside and pledged to work together.
The two, who fell out ahead of the 2017 general elections, attended a church service in Siongiroi, Bomet County on Sunday, where they announced their reconciliation.
“I have held a series of meetings with Isaac and reconciled our differences. You must know that we are age mates and we have covered so much ground together. We have differed previously reconciled when I was in Kanu and he bolted out to Narc in the 2002 election,” says the Deputy President as quoted by Standard Digital.
“I wish to tell you that Isaac will be engaged in regional and national politics and development as Bomet Governor Dr Joyce Laboso engages in local issues. From now on, we will be sending him out to various regions in the country on development issues,” adds Ruto.
On his part, Isaac says their decision to bury the hatchet is inspired by the need to unite and transform the country.
“I have been engaged in talks with the DP for a good part of this year focusing on resolving national and regional issues affecting the people.”
Rutto diched Jubilee party in the run to last year's elections and formed Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), which threw its weight behind Opposition presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
However, Rutto ditched Opposition coalition, National Super Alliance (Nasa) and endorsed Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee in the repeat presidential election ordered by the Supreme Court.
