10 KRA Officials Sent into Quarantine After Interacting with Covid-19 Patients

10 Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officials have been sent into quarantine after they came into contact with coronavirus patients.

The 10 employess attached to the Mombasa port are said to have had contact with several foreign nationals who tested positive for Covid-19, according to Daily Nation.

This comes days after several Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) employees were placed under isolation at Bandari Maritime Academy after they interacted with infected persons.

KRA has since ordered staff working at the customs to stop receiving paperwork from third parties as part of the measures to avert the spread of the virus.

So far, Kenya has recorded 189 cases of the Covid-19 infection, 22 recoveries and seven fatalities. A total of 6,192 samples have been tested for coronavirus in the country while 2,054 Covid-19 cases have been monitored, out of which 1,481 have been cleared.
