Jeff Koinange Beats Covid-19 After 17 Days in Self-Isolation

Media personality Jeff Koinange has recovered from Covid-19 after self-isolating for 17 days.

He announced his recovery through Twitter on Thursday after receiving his second Covid-19 test result.

“Folks...Day 17 in isolation and I just got my 2nd test results...NEGATIVE...I have BEATEN this MONSTER! And YOU can too! Thank you for ALL your Prayers, Kind Words and Good Wishes! TOGETHER can win this WAR against #COVID19,” he wrote.

Koinange, who works for Royal Media Services, publicly announced he had contracted the disease on July 20th and proceeded on self-isolation at home.

“Folks, just to let you know, I have tested POSITIVE for Covid-19. I am doing good . . . No symptoms … and my family is fine. All my close contacts have been informed. Right now I’m in self-isolation,” he tweeted.

During the period, Koinange continued to attend to his work duties at Citizen TV and Hot 96 FM but from home.

About 80 percent of Kenya’s Covid-19 cases are either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic, according to the Health Ministry.
