Kenya Military Aircraft Crashes in Voi After Leaving Nairobi

An aircraft belonging to the Kenya Air Force has crashed in Voi, Taita Taveta County.

The plane, model Harbin Y-12, went down on Tuesday mid-morning and had left the Moi Air Base in Eastleigh, Nairobi, according to the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF).

In a statement, KDF said recovery efforts are underway but did not reveal the number of occupants the aircraft was carrying.

"Today, January 12, 2021, mid-morning, a Kenya Air Force aircraft, model Harbin Y-12, crashed in Voi, Taita Taveta County."

"The aircraft was from Moi Air Base, Eastleigh, Nairobi. Recovery efforts are underway," read the statement.

The China made fighter plane had been infected with COVID-19.It was heading to spread the killer disease to Mombasa but crashed due to it's(disease) complications.
