Suspected Kenyan Drug Lord Bosire Makori Shot Dead in Diani

Suspected Kenyan drug lord Bosire Nyaigoti Makori has been killed in Diani, Kwale County.

Bosire, who has been on the run since 2017, was reportedly shot dead by unknown assailants outside his house in Ngerenya area, Diani in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

The 41-year-old was reportedly riding home on his motorbike at around 3:00 am when he was accosted and shot in a suspected drug deal gone sour.

Bosire’s younger brother Mwaniki Makori reported the shooting incident at Msambweni police station.

Police believe the deceased was out to supply drugs since a carrier bag containing 3kgs of brown and white substances suspected to be narcotic drugs, one electric weighing scale, and Sh19,600 cash in different denominations was recovered beside his body. Also recovered at the scene were four spent cartridges of 9mm caliber.

Kwale police commander Ambrose Oloo said the substances were sent to the government chemist for further analysis.

Bosire, who is described by authorities as a high-ranking and leading supplier of drugs in South Coast and Tanzania, escaped police dragnet in 2017 after fleeing to the neighboring country.

In 2017, police raided his residence in Nyali, Mombasa, and seized narcotics worth Sh21 million. Police say Bosire is the supplier of heroin sourced from Tanzania to the South Coast.

Obviously Makori was one of mtu wa mkono aka supplier and the ones you mentioned as termed as Kingpin, works the phone only. Then there those who sells in tiny quantities are known as street vendors aka dealers
