Raila Pledges Financial Support for Single Mothers if Elected President
ODM leader Raila Odinga has pledged to support the families of single mothers if elected president in August.
Odinga, who is giving his fifth stab at the presidency, says his administration will set aside a special fund to mitigate the economic hardships faced by single-parent families.
“Wale wamama ambao hawana mabwana, single mother, awe ni mjane, alitalikiwa na bwana au alidanganywa na kijana, hatutaki wamama hao wahangaike au watoto wao. Watapata msaada kutoka kwa serikali,” Odinga said.
Speaking while popularizing his ‘Azimio La Umoja’ campaign in Kawangware, Nairobi on Sunday, Odinga maintained that his Sh6,000 monthly stipend pledge to families with no income is achievable, saying his priority will be to seal all corruption loopholes in the government.
“Wanasema ati Baba anadanganya watu hakuna pesa, Baba hadanganyi. Raila Amolo Odinga amekuwa waziri mkuu wa Kenya kwa miaka sita, najua pahali hiyo pesa iko,” said Odinga.
“Najua mahali wezi wanachukua wanapenya na pesa zetu, tutaziba hiyo mianya yote, tutamenyana nao ana kwa ana,” he added.
At the same time, the 77-year-old presidential contender dismissed Deputy President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza alliance as inconsequential and exuded confidence that he will win the August 9th presidential election.

Right now the US is trying a pilot program ya kutumia single mothers I think in Georgia $850 a month for either 1 or 2 years halafu waone kama watatika kwa umaskini. Na yeye baba after kusoma hiyo is telling us the same nonsense. The difference? US wamejipanga hawakuamka tu siku moja wakanza kupayuka payuka ujinga kama baba. Also US know how they will get that money (by bankrupting the future of their kids or raising taxes) lakini baba ni kupayuka payuka tu. Let’s copy the US on everything….. darn it

Baba says he will end corruption so that he can be able to get the ksh6000 monthly handouts. He has to be told that corruption does not have a budget. The government does put aside money meant to be stolen! The money that is being stolen is already budgeted amount. So let someone tell him to stop that nonsense!

And here he comes again with another handout for single mothers. Single mothers like all jobless people in Kenya does not need handouts. They need jobs or sort of business. This Baba will turn Kenya into communism. The country currently is running overboard at 9 trillion. At the extent that money is being borrowed to pay workers! Where will he get the money for handouts? Stop lying to the people.
