Raila in India for His Daughter Rosemary Odinga's Treatment
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is in India for his daughter Rosemary Odinga’s eye treatment.
Nation reports that Rosemary is admitted to Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital and Research Center in Koothattukulum in Kerala State, South India.
Rosemary became partially blind in 2017 after she was diagnosed with aneurysms and a brain tumor, which was later removed in China after initially seeking treatment in South Africa. She has since been undergoing routine check-ups.
“Now in February 2022, Rosemary is again at Sreedhareeyam with her family for the follow-up treatment and evaluations. We are humbled to share the experience of Rosemary and extremely happy for them,” read a statement released by the hospital.
Dr. Narayanan Namboothiri, the hospital’s chief physician said Rosemary will be at the facility for some days as she undergoes various eye care treatments prescribed in the traditional ayurvedic system.
Sreedhareeyam Hospital has been offering ayurvedic eye care traditionally for nearly 300 years, according to its website.
Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world’s oldest medical systems and remains one of India’s traditional health care systems. Ayurvedic treatment combines products, mainly derived from plants, with diet, exercise, and lifestyle.
Before flying to India, Raila, who is eyeing the presidency in the August 9th elections, attended the African Union heads of state summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia last week.

@ MR collusion, yes no parent wants to see their kid in pain.I would add that no sane human being would want to see another in pain even though human beings are known to inflict tremendous pain on fellow human beings... Anyway, I wish her the best.
I maybe mistaken,but did I not read in one of the dailies that she had regained her sight?If i recall, it appeared that she had regained full use of her eyes.So If true, it could that this is just a follow up.But again knowing the secrecy our leaders conduct such matters one wonders if there is more to the visit...

We wish her well. Raila has been in the government for a long time. He has been eyeing the Presidency for more than forty years, yet our hospitals are not good enough for our people.
All Raila is going to bring to the table during his presidency is dependency on foreign systems. Nothing original.
How about the majority who cannot depend on foreign systems?
Atleast, on the final paragraph it tells us to go back to our traditional medicine and our traditional systems. "Ayurverdic treatment combines products derived from plants ( our traditional medicine) with diet ( go back to our traditional diet) exercise and lifestyle ( go back to our traditional way of life).
Time for revelation and restoration.

@ Anonymous, it comes down to not having confidence in our "systems".And as to why,its because mwafrika has no confidence,and pride in himself.He does not want to take charge and make things happen for himself.Wants to live by imitating ,donations ,and aping.I would be ashamed to be in government for such a long time and have nothing to show for it.You dont have to be president to effect change in a positive manner.How you live and conduct yourself can do that.
