Wife of Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi Killed in a Road Accident

Kajiado Central Member of Parliament Elijah Memusi has lost his wife in a car accident.

Stellah Memusi died on the spot after the vehicle she was traveling in rammed into a stalled truck near Isinya along the Nairobi-Namanga highway on Monday night.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado police commander Muthuri Mwongera said Stella and her driver were heading to her Kajiado home from Nairobi when the accident happened at around 11:10 pm.

“I want to urge all road users to take personal responsibility for protecting themselves and protecting others. If a vehicle stalls on the road it is prudent and mandatory for you to put road signs that alert other motorists of danger ahead. It is uncouth and inhumane to just leave a vehicle along the road and endanger other road users, especially at night where visibility is not clear," Mwongera said.

The driver of the ill-fated vehicle sustained minor injuries and was rushed to Kajiado Referral Hospital where he was treated and discharged.

Reports indicate that Stellah had just dropped her children to school after the lapse of the mid-term break. Her body was moved to Kajiado Referral Hospital mortuary.
