Kenya Gov't to Help NYS Graduates to Get Qatar World Cup Jobs

President Kenyatta has revealed plans to help the National Youth Service (NYS) graduates to secure jobs in the upcoming World Cup tournament in Qatar.

Kenyatta indicated that the government is working on a plan to have some NYS graduates sent to the Gulf state as part of the team that will provide security services during the football competition.

He spoke at the NYS Training College in Gilgil, Nakuru County, where he presided over the passing-out parade of 9,464 NYS recruits comprising 6,773 servicemen and 2,691 servicewomen.

"We are very hopeful that as the World Cup is coming, a good number of you will hopefully also be able to get jobs in Qatar during that period," the president stated.

Qatar will be the first Middle East country to host the FIFA World Cup since its establishment in 1930, with more than 1.2 million tourists expected to attend the world’s biggest football competition in Doha.

The tournament will take place between November 21st to December 18th, 2022. Due to Qatar's intense summer heat, this year’s World Cup was pushed to November/December, making it the first tournament not to be held in May, June, or July.

Kenya is now exporting people after all other export products, coffee, tea, pyrethrum were dismantled by mismanagement, corruption and incompetence. If we have problems managing the country after decolonization why not simply lease it out to the highest bidder for a term of, say,100 years? The leassee will manage the country and make a profit and in return we will get jobs and infrastructure development. It happened during the 40 years of colonization only this time we will have a say in the terms of lease.
