Ruto's UDA Party Calls for a Scrutiny of Raila's Academic Qualifications

Deputy President William Ruto-led UDA party has called for a scrutiny of Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s academic qualifications.

UDA secretary-general Veronica Maina says there is a need to look into the authenticity of the academic credentials of Odinga and other presidential candidates.

“You have seen a lot of headlines questioning the university that our biggest opponent Raila Amolo Odinga qualified from. It is a very big question which needs to be looked at, not through the lens of just one candidate, but a wider public question,” Maina said on Citizen TV's Day Break program on Tuesday.

She similarly questioned Roots Party Presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah’s alleged 17 degrees, saying they should be double-checked to ascertain whether they are genuine.

“The institutions that trained him should tell us whether he actually has 14 degrees or 7, and how many are recognized or not. It is a bigger question of what qualifications should a politician have before they assume a public office, and it has been a subject of litigation,” she added.

Maina’s statement was in defense of the UDA Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Senator Johnson Sakaja whose academic qualifications have been put under public scrutiny.

Four petitioners filed a complaint before the IEBC Dispute Resolution Committee seeking to have Sakaja disqualified from the Nairobi gubernatorial race for lacking the requisite academic qualifications.

In his response to the petition, Sakaja insisted that he attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Teams University in Uganda in 2016.

“That among other qualifications and awards of excellence, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Management degree conferred upon me by Team University in Uganda, having satisfied the requirements for the award,” Sakaja said in a replying affidavit.

“The Complainants’ wild allegations to the effect that I did not graduate from Team University are factually hollow and unfounded. For nefarious goals, the Complainants have fraudulently omitted relevant pages of the graduation booklet that bear my graduation credentials.”

"University degrees"
If University degrees are to be a measure of integrity in leadership, we need the history of the candidates seeking the highest political position in Kenya.
No favorism. Produce Raila's degrees, when he graduated and when he attended those schools.
It's time for every candidate to be put through the same test.
No exceptions.
Raila's education history should and must be revealed for the Kenyan citizens to be content.
WHERE IS RAILA'S degree?
WHERE Is RAILA'S degree?
Time for revelation and restoration!!

Noted:
Starting in 1962, Raila spent 2 years at the 'Herder Institut', part of the 'University of Leipzig' in East Germany. He then Earned a Scholarship to the 'Technical School' in Magdeburg, East Germany, where he Graduated in 1970 with a Degree in MECHANICAL Engineering.

This explanation is too technical for a guy like Ruto who has never lived in Germany. He Ruto has no experiences in the external universe.

I tend to think that is why he steals too much because he does not know that other countries put a lot of efforts in building the society than individual wealth. Hence Ruto is a thief of all shades and colors.

At Kale, we do not need to know if Raila is an engineer.
We need to know what school he attended for his primary education. What dates and when he attained his primary school certificate. We need information that every citizen can verify.
We need to know the high school he attended and when. What years. What year did he graduate. What high school certificate did he attain and when?
We need his years of attending college. What degree did he attain and when.
We do not need honorary degrees that are given with self-interest.
We need degrees that Raila has put time and effort plus patience to achieve.
It's time to know this wanna be leader has achieved in terms of education.
Let focus on Raila's education this time. Let the media start reporting on Raila's education, just like it has focused on all other politicians.
WHERE is Raila's degree.
Just one?
Time for revelation!!

Anonymous, very well articulated. It’s a question of public interests as you put it. If indeed this information is available why not put it forth in public and especially when there’re questions on the same. This is not a mockery exercise for Raila but petard demanding to know their candidate better.
At the end the unknowns will be known.

We need to closely scrutiny WSR’s degrees because he had other people attend the classes for him. Kenyans know William Ruto did not study to get the PhD. He had someone else do all the work for him.

Raila is a perfect Engineer!

This UDAs Veronica Maina does not understand Wajackoyah just needs one degree to qualify. He has more than 10 and Johnstone Sakaja has zero. If only he could give Sakaja one, just one.

Veronica Maina does not have a degree. She is a thief too like WSR. She started by stealing sugar in her mother’s kitchen. She is now trying to be a grand thief by associating wit the biggest thief in the world known as DP Ruto. Wezi ni wale wale.

Let’s stop using the name “Ruto” when we mean to identity Samoei - the presidential candidate. In our traditional system of identification, you cannot be called your father’s name!
We should make an effort to address the current presidential candidate using his traditional micro name as “Kipchirchir Samoei” followed by “Arap - Son of” Ruto.
Let’s address him as Kipchirchir Samoei
or Kipchirchir Samoei Arap Ruto without using his “religious slave name - William.”
