Kenyans Online React to a Photo of NASA Protesters in New York

A photo of alleged National Super Alliance (NASA) supporter's demonstrations New York on Saturday has ignited Kenyans on social media.

On Friday, National Super Alliance supporters living in New York announced they would be staging a major demo outside United Nations headquarters in New York.

Organizers of the protests led by Dr George Omburo the US Diaspora chairman, Amos Atonga and Debra Akello said they were holding the demos to bring to attention of the international community on recent happenings in Kenya after the nullification of President Uhuru's August 8th victory.

The protests were scheduled to commence at 11am and end in the the afternoon with an international press briefing from the group.

However, a photo doing rounds on social media showed that only a handful of supporters turned out for the event.

In the photo, a countable individuals are seen carrying placards and a Kenyan flag while marching. Kenyans reacted to the photo, many of them mocking the 'mammoth crowd' that turned up for the demo.

Here are some of the reactions:

Polycarp Hinga said: "This afternoon the world stood in awe as the hundreds of thousands of ODM supporters from all corners of the United States converged in New York and brought the Big Apple to a stand still palalyizing business in the city as they demonstrated in solidarity with Raila Odinga.... It was earthshaking!,".

Pauline Njoroge notes:"After so much hype around the much awaited NASA supporters demonstrations in New York outside the UN headquarters, this was the turn out. And these are the guys expected to fundraise for Rao in the diaspora? If I were him I would apologize to Safaricom not to lose their pay bill number as it's the only hope right now. Surely, even friends of Pauline Njoroge would gather a much bigger crowd in NY,".

"A huge crowd attend the NASA Newyork city demonstrations outside UN offices.
It was such a success," Symoh Symoh said.

Steve Johns notes: "Hahaaa! # Trump should Deport those idlers squeezing their bussy bodies in US doing Nothing!,".

It is good to see Kenyans everywhere rejecting Dictatorship.
Uhuru Kenyatta Dictatorship should be stopped.
Dictators kill people on regular basis.
They work for the Devil

God will not bless Kenya.

Dr. George Omburu is a self proclaimed diaspora chairman. Who made you the diaspora chairman? You don't represent me. Those protesters in New York forgot one thing. To strip as the protesters in Kisumu did a while ago.

The Protest is against The Wall of Jericho/IEBC that Must Fall/be Humbled for Final Entrance into Canaan. Joshua/God's Chosen is NOT playing games; and Neither is he Giving Up on God's Calling and Command to Liberate Kenya from Tribal Oppression.

John Wanjohi,
Our greed and hatred against other tribes especially Luos will kill us and make us fall deeper. The real picture of demonstrations is not the one you are propagating here. Recently,it came out clearly how we have been stealing votes of Raila. That is a true fact we have to accept. I personally suffered under my own Gikuyu government that I don't want to suffer again. If we have the constitution, we have to follow it. In 1966, Jomo selfishly changed laws that Moi used to make Gikuyus hard to remove him. Njonjo tried and failed until Raila removed Moi through NARC. Then our own greed made us keep off Raila. We didn't pay him the right salary as a PM. Now again we dream of another coalition after stealing his votes on 08/08/17?? Impossible. We must accept and use the already laid law. No laws ccan be changed now when Uhuru is not the official president of the country. It is high we changed before changes come on us.

@Njeri Rose Kamau. It seems you do not know Kenya history. Moi 2 terms expired and that is why he got our of power. He was not removed by NARC but NARC won the election. Raila had no chance of winning when Moi announced that Uhuru will be his successor.

It is a pity how these few guys went to embarrass themselves in NY.

George Omburo and his few friends should realize that the world already knows Raila is the one who want to push the country into violence like he did in 2007/2008.

George Omburo should know that if that happens again, this time Raila will face the judges of ICC and he will not escape.
