Kiambu Senator Paul Kimani Njoroge, popularly known as Kimani Wamatangi has been sued for child maintenance by his former househelp, Winfred Wangui.
Winfred says that the Jubilee politician defiled her in his residence about 10 years ago, after which she got pregnant and gave birth to their daughter, Lisa Wanjiku, on April 23rd, 2007.
“When I ask for child support, he erratically sends a sum of Sh3,000, which he sends after a long time and when he is pushed. I am jobless,” she says in court papers obtained by Standard Digital.
She further says that the Senator has only seen their daughter twice; when she was two months old and towards the end of 2007.
“He came home to see my mother with Sh.20,000 and promised to pay for his daughter’s upkeep,” Winfred further states.
She further tells the court that since the child’s birth, Wamatangi has sent a total of Sh70,000 for her maintenance, refusing to consistently pay Sh75,000 monthly upkeep.
“The plaintiff avers that the defendant has a legal obligation to maintain his daughter in the following manners: Sh.20,000 for school fees, an equal amount for house rent, Sh.15,000 in medical care fee and Sh.20,000 in clothing and miscellaneous expenses. The total expenses comes to Sh.75,000,” Winfred says in another sworn affidavit.
Winfred says on May 28th the court ordered Wamatangi to take a DNA test to confirm paternity but the senator refused to avail himself.
“This is to confirm that Ms Winfred Wangui Kimani presented herself to the Government Chemist on 28th day of May at 9:30am for DNA sampling. However the sampling could not proceed as the other party, Paul Kimani Njoroge alias Wamatangi, had not availed himself by 3pm,” a letter from the Ministry of Health to the Children’s Court signed by government chemist AW Nderitu reads.
The 32-year-old says she is tired of fighting a losing battle after several of her cases were dropped. She approached Kenya Human Rights Commission for help and was referred to Fida, who filed the new case at Kiambu Children’s Court on June 19th.
The case didn't commence as scheduled (Tuesday 26th, June 2018) because her file once again, went missing as has been the case in other four attempts.
On his part, the senator said: “I am not the biological father to the minor herein, I have never seen the minor and I do not know of her existence."
“I have never employed the plaintiff. Her allegations are malicious and unwarranted and only meant to embarrass and cause me injury and damage,” Wamatangi says in a sworn affidavit.

Avail yourself for the DNA testing and exonerate yourself if innocent. Sounds like he raped the girl to begin with.

Kimani pay up.If you raped,that's even serious.You claim you never hired her,and you even dont know her?.Why dont you sue her then?.If I were you,I would happily settle this out of court if possible.It could get ugly.And try not to unzip your pants till you are sure you can take care of the ofspring.Or get checked.
Some females are Delilahlic and therefore Tempting. So it Depends on How the Househelp was Dressing herself in Kimani's presence. And if she was making the Kimani's bed and even Washing his Undsrwaears (like some Wives let house helps do), then Kimani's wife should be to Blame too.

Even if the most attractive and sexy woman posed in the fashion you framed above, I would walk away,and most men would too.Ofcourse after trying to see if they can get some.But not many will force themselves.Many may try to offer material things.I doubt if that's what happened.Though probable.Who has more to lose...

The story first appeared in the press in 2014.But instead of silently settling the matter,money worshiper,Kimani ignored her all together.I hope Muigai who is pretending to fight corruption will intervene in this straight foward case.It seems Kiman has corruptly pocketed magistrates and lawyers to frustrate the girl forgetting there is overwhelming evidence of defilement.
Gold diggers.. wait for 10 years then you want child support. This Kenyan women, no morality, no empathy for what they bring to this world their focus is nothing else but money. Sometimes this foolishness with courts bear no fruit but trauma to the child, bitterness and deep pockets for lawyers and at the end of the day the child is the one that suffers.. A child cannot make herself/himself. It takes 2 people. Before you put your pants down think twice. Are you ready to support a child until he/she is 18 yrs
As a father of a few beautiful daughters I am alarmed by how guys react to these issues. I do not believe the mother is a gold digger the way some of you characterize her. There are numerous cases where the man of the house has been messing up with the maid. The employer is always taking advantage of the poor help. Let's stop blaming the help. Men ought to responsibility of their actions or be prepared to pay child support for eighteen years.
You should not hesitate taking the DNA test to clear the matters up unless you do not remember where you have been dipping your you know what????
Mheshimiwa Kimani Wamatangi is a "status rapist." He used his status to rape this helpless woman. He is like Mheshimiwa Ruto who sired a child with a college student while married.
Both "status rapists' should be removed from the current positions that they hold.
Kimani Wamatangi is a rapist and should be in Naivasha maximum prison for rape. He defiled her.
