First things first. Charge them in court, sieze their business, jail them. Then deport them. Unatucheza tu! How about you also find out who gave them work permits and business permits. Unatuchukua sisi wajinga. We did not employ you to let criminals get way!

As an immigrant in another country, living, thriving and working among the natives, I feel somewhat hypocritical when I criticize others doing the same in my country of origin. Sote twatafuta riziki. Bora jasho. For that, I salute them. HESHIMA.

FG2, that's exactly my point...most of us kulad lami just this guys are. Today, they sell maize, mitumba.. next, they climb up the social ladder. My journey and most of those I know are similar...tarmac, clean, etc.. before those papers hit the door mat and by then you face the same threat these guys are facing (deportation). We! I relate and up to today, you will hear someone spit some nasty thing like "go home where you came from". As long as they are not stealing food off someone's plate or selling drugs, then I have respect and that goes on for anyone who dares to venture out. I know how it feels for people to say: these foreigners steal our jobs, take our houses, drain our medical resources...etc... whilst all the time sitting on their laurels stating each job that comes their way is beneath them!

Well, that's makes any of your brothers, sisters, friends or any of countrymen who has gone abroad to look for greener pastures equally GHASIAS in the countries they have migrated to. If your government was not so corrupt and invest and harvest in local skills, we would not be hating this way. The leaders we elect opt to out source services and in doing so attract what comes with it. If we are looking for blame, then it's squarely with the government. These are just as victims of circumstances as our people without jobs. C'mon now, don't hate like that.

What brought them to Kenya in the first place? If they came to do the Gikomba business then they should remain to do their business. And if they are undocumented immigrants then Matiangi's decision is the solution.

The Chinese being hawkers or selling mtumba should not alarm you. Worry about the Kenyan debt to the Chinese govt. Does Kenya still own the port of Mombasa? Have you been to Guangzhou, China and heard people speaking kikuyu in the market place selling Chinese goods? Let the small people eat, it is the leardership mafisi you need to worry about - my 2 cts.
