Kenyans Online Call Out Economist David Ndii for Calling President Uhuru a 'Spoilt Brat'

Controversial economist David Ndii has been slammed by Kenyans on social media for insulting President Kenyatta.

In a tweet on Thursday evening, Ndii used his vernacular Kikuyu language to refer Kenyatta as a spoilt brat.

Ndii, who was reacting to a tweet by Daily Nation, where the newspaper quoted Kenyatta saying the government does not have extra money to allocate to counties, said the President should know that the funds do not belong to his mother (Ngina Kenyatta).

“President Kenyatta dismisses call by senators and governors for more revenue allocation to counties; says the government has no money,” read the tweet by Daily Nation.

Responding to the tweet, Ndii noted: “Kaī ndūrīka īno īciragia mbeca ciothe nī cia Ngīna (“Does this spoilt brat think that government's money belongs to Ngina?)

Online users have criticized Ndii, accusing him of disrespecting President Uhuru.

@veronica_wamuyu said:" I wonder what makes you stand out. Is it your level of ideology or your heightened level of disrespect? You can disagree with some maturity. Abusive language towards someone and mentioning their mother is despicable."

@Kamdooh tweeted: "You didn't have to mention his mother. She has nothing to do with Uhuru doings or misdoings."

@RobbNdegwaNow noted: "Dr. Ndii, we know you don't exactly admire Uhuru but a little politeness won't harm you one tiddly bit."

@kinyua_franc said: "@DavidNdii I highly respect you but now you've started talking like sudi and company my company. Stay true to who you are and we'll continue to accord you the respect you deserve."

Nothing offensive in what Ndii said. People say that all the time. In any case there a lot of truth in what Ndii said. He has no accomplishment not tied to something his mother did. Remember the project. That is what he has been his whole life.

I agree with him, what good came from jomo kenyatta, basically nothing. Jomo really devided the gikuyu. "We fought together as maumau", but the kiambu elites were like vultures or hiti waiting to grab the loot. I dont see nikii tuonaga kiega gwa kenyatta to the point we voted the idiot as president tatutari na maitho ma kuona uria ithe ekire atuika mutongoria uria wachokire akiuga utongoria ndukanakira chania after all the blood shed in the muranga, nyeri and kirinyaga forests for the sake.

Wow that was deep @Meme. You are entitled to your opinion! Ndii is right. Uhuru has been there to enrich his family. Just yesterday they decided to nationalize KQ and have tax payers settle debts giving CBA which is owned by the Kenyattas plenty of cash. This family is the stingiest you will ever know and the word philanthropy has never occurred in their minds. I say no more central province leaders for president. No more Rift Valley. Lets try competence instead irrespective of where the talent comes from.

Ndii used some flowery language right there, not exactly the best thing but we all know where all this is coming from: Jubilee's ineptitude / incompetence of grand proportions that has left millions destitute. That billions can easily disappear from public coffers without anyone going to jail, that we still beg for food during drought and our people still die from starvation owing to dumb leadership, etc. We simply don't have leaders except for some very few like the late Ken Okoth (Kibra, May God Rest His Soul in peace), Kivutha Kibwana and a few others. The rest are Neanderthals driven by primitive accumulation and overly keen on amassing as much as they can even as the common mwananchi suffers. Just like ihii's (filthy uncircumcised gluttons who should be nowhere near leadership) I have no qualms with Dr Ndii, by and large

Let me just state the obvious.

Mama Ngina Kenyatta has been stealing from Kenyans for a very long time.

Uhuru Kenyatta is a spoiled brat and a son of thieves and killers.

It matters not whether Uhuru thinks it's his mother's money. What he said is right. Counties have become bottomless pits sucking up tax payers' money. Ndii should use his intellect to help Kenya come up with better policies to help meet Kenyans' aspirations for devolution. Resorting to pedestrian insults does not do justice to his intellectual prowess.

@ Diana, I have your back here, you don't need evidence, been proven OVER the years. settled nomad apparently hasn't been living up to their name to go around and listen to reason. Ngina is one of the originators of corruption!

@ kena motley you have eyes you you cannot see.You have ears yet you dont hear or don't want to - Kenya Airways is broke and has debts - loans from CBA and NCI banks - first their was an attempt to merge a broke company to airport authorities ( all kenya airports) the debt would have been consumed by the Kenya airport authorities - it was refused workers went on strike and mps refused. This is a new trick to have the government take over those debts - who profits Kenyatta family and late Phillip Ndegwa who was central bank governor family. AND who is going to pay TAX PAYER anyone earning more than KES11,000 - unless you are member of Kenyatta family you should condemn this - Kenyatta family losses must be paid by TAX PAYERS - if you don't gat this then something is wrong with you - KQ will be grounded soon or later because KLM management will not accept it so the marriage will end. KLM represents Kenya airway in marketin in Europe and owns a few shares of KQ

@Ken motley, the one thing that the US system has taught me is that you should never look beyond yourself, to solve any problem that you may be having. You have the power to solve your own problems. Don't insult others, and don't deflect blame from yourself. Just accept that you were made by the same God who made Uhuru, Raila, Trump, etc etc. God's rules apply to everyone.

I dare not compare Kenya and the U.S system, these people steal from poor folk and keep giving themselves raises. if you want to kill a snake go for the head. even churches in kenya are corrupt and that's a shame.

In a civilized world individuals differ and this is good enough because we all have different minds. Differences have however to be aired out objectively and with decorum. Calling President Uhuru " a spoilt brat" is going too low especially when it comes from Dr. Ndii.

Kenyans fear the truth. They shudder at the mere mention of the name of the person whose family is farting and defeacating on Kenya, Kenyan economy and it's people. Those wasting their time trying to defend this loser are the ones benefiting from corruption in Kenya.

Yes, Uhuru has enjoyed a life supported by ill gotten gains. The lifestyle audits have had zero results, corruption is well entrenched and the list goes on. Does all that negate the fact that Kenya is broke and the county governments are dens of thievery deserving no more money?
