Kenyan Businesswoman Nancy Kigwe Wettstein Quizzed over Dutchman Tob Cohen’s Murder

Detectives investigating the murder of Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen have questioned Kenyan businesswoman Nancy Kigwe Wettstein.
Investigators believe Ms. Nancy could shed more light on the ongoing investigation into the killing of the 71-year-old businessman, Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti told Daily Nation.
“It is true we have Nancy here. We are interrogating her,” said Kinoti.
63-year-old Nancy, a beauty and cosmetics entrepreneur, is reported to be a close friend of Cohen’s widow Sarah Wairimu, who is the main suspect in the murder of her husband.
Kinoti declined to divulge whether they are treating Ms. Nancy as a suspect or a witness due to a court order barring investigators, the prosecution, lawyers and the media from discussing the case.
Apart from Sarah, police are holding another suspect Peter Njoroge Karanja, the estranged husband of Gilgil Member of Parliament Martha Wangari.
Cohen, who had lived in Kenya for 32 years, went missing on July 19th before he was found dead on September 13th.
His decomposing body was retrieved from an underground water tank at his home in Nairobi’s Kitisuru estate. He was buried at the Jewish Cemetery in Nairobi on September 24th.
